We went with high food expectations because of the TripAdvisor reviews. Unfortunately, the kitchen did not deliver. My coconut shrimp was good but not amazing. My wife and son ordered steak which was overpriced and poorly prepared (although the chimichurri was good). The band playing was very good and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The band saved the kitchen sub-satisfactory performance.

We loved this place. The sashimi plates and sushi rolls were equally delicious, and they have hot sake too. There is indoor air conditioned seating at the sushi bar, as well as the outdoor seating area. We sat at the bar inside several times. We also sat outside in the late afternoon when the temperature wasn't too high.

Never mind a 5 star review, this restaurant is a 5 billion star ! The starry night is gorgeous, the sunsets are beautiful, and the food is INCREDIBLE. We went for a one night dinner ( recommended by a local ) and have returned every single night for week for more. Everything on the menu is top drawer delicious!!! The staff are so very welcoming and warm... and Tomas is one of the finest humans we have met. He really takes the time to make the experience so memorable. Highly recommend. So fab. So fab. So fab!

This is our new go-to restaurant in Todos Santos for great food, presentation and prices. We have not tried the beef (of which they have a good selection), but love the fish and shrimp. We have tried the fresh fish (grilled to perfection), sashimi (delicious and fresh) and last night I had the panko shrimp. Large shrimp, beautiful presentation and delicious. A couple of weeks ago they had a lunch special - 3 types of tortillas with 3 different salsas and 3 different fillings - scallop, shrimp and fish. Definitely not your average Mexican outdoor restaurant. The staff speaks limited English so you may have to speak to the chef if your Spanish is not good.

This is a new addition to Todos Santos's great street food carts.... I write under the name Underground Milkmaid and prefer that to using my real name...
âYou ate WHAT on a hot, dusty street in Mexico? Are you out of your mind?â My friend from LA couldnât fathom doing such a thing. But, heyâ¦this is Todos Santos! Sure we have hot dusty dirt roads, but I have NEVER gotten sick from any of our street carts. On the contraryâ¦.I regularly eat some of my most memorable meals this way, especially when Iâm on the runâ¦(another unfathomable idea for most city folk to wrap their minds aroundâ¦.that any of us are actually busy and need to eat fast sometimes).Anyway, a most welcome addition to our already excellent street fare selections is Georgeâs Sushi Express. I knowâ¦sounds pretty daring, especially with no electricity to power up any refrigeration. But believe me, this is the real deal and everything is kept super fresh on ice and served up quite lovingly by Jorge Amador. Jorgeâs mother-in-law is Ana Sanâ¦known for her own restaurant and sushi making family. Jorge trained with Ana for 4 years, and when he closes up shop at Sushi Express, he and his wife Kenia work 7 nights a week at Anaâs new location, across the street from the Pemex Station. Ana also has a sushi chef son, Chopin, who serves his marvelous sushi selections at popular Marioâs Bar in El Hotelito. Jorge jokingly referred to his cart as part of a âcadenaââ¦.a chain.Located across the street from Banorte, there are two umbrella tables for sitting and watching who goes to the ATM or gets their car washed, or you can take your order to go. Anaâs dad is a local fisherman, so you can be sure the fish is straight from the boat. Thereâs sashimi, shrimp, scallops and crab, when in season, as well. I had the delicious spicy rolls with dorado and lobster caviar, and super tasty Philadelphia rolls with cream cheese and shrimp. Everything comes with the usual soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger. Jorge also offers a variety of shrimp tempura dishes, too. Prices range from 20p for two pieces of fish sushi Nigiri, to 85p for the most expensive dishes on the menu, spicy scallop rolls or Mazago shrimp rolls with avocado. Itâs fun to just stand there watching Jorge prepare your orderâ¦and shoot the breeze about whatâs happening in town. He hails from one of Todos Santosâs oldest familias. Heâs a lovely guy and his Sushi Express is a tasty winner.
