Norval Foundation

Norval Foundation is a centre for art and cultural expression. We are dedicated to the research, exhibition and education of 20th- and 21st-century visual art from South Africa and beyond. Located in the Steenberg area of Cape Town, Norval Foundation combines the experience of art with an appreciation for nature. Our Sculpture Garden, outdoor amphitheatre, purpose-built exhibition spaces and research library are situated in a unique setting that offers visitors a multi-sensory experience. This is complemented by the Skotnes Restaurant and Bar, a bespoke shop, and a children’s play area. The Skotnes Restaurant is the culinary arm of the Norval Foundation and is named after the legendary South African artist and teacher Cecil Skotnes. Last admission into the museum is half an hour before closing, at 17:00.

Well worth a visit , the Norval Foundation houses a wonderful gallery and exciting sculpture garden in a magnificent building and exquisite surroundings and demonstrates the wonderful work being done to teach and encourage young artists. LUNCH IN THE EXCELLENT RESTAURANT OVERLOOKING THR GARDENS WILL TOP UP A MEMORABLE DAY.

ESSENTIAL BANKING Sorting my rent, and I stopped around at a few bookstores...there are two inside, ...and a few more near the mall... ...I had a bite to eat at the food mall earlier in the week. However, it was the biltong counter then Stella's which was best... Here is a review re: Stella's DEMETRIE JNR, a 20 year old waitron at Stella's suggest that I try 1 AMSTERDAMERS... "amsterdamertjie" I suggested that I have it with ice cream! A DEFINITE WIN WIN COMBINATION. I enjoyed... I asked him if I could take a PIC since I am on TRIP ADVISOR as a WRITER... see PIC ✅ I went to REM. Since my mom had passed away last year at age 83 years. I would take my mom for a drive out to Tokai where she loved the trees...after those, we stopped off at Stella's once. MY MOM ENJOYED... I enjoyed the desserts very much and the coffee is extremely strong. I had just one than two capsules and it was HEAVY BANANAS...since I also enjoyed a BANANA BOAT. Good service. Delicious dessert..
