Both the seaport and the airport are connected to the city center via toll road and railway. Medan also became the first city in Indonesia to have an airport supported with train service.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott for several weeks. I enjoyed the omelette station every morning with a cappuccino. Both of which were made to order and brought to my table. A big thank you to Etika, Icha, Nuriani and staff for making my stay pleasant and memorable.

It was my first time to the bar, i sat upstairs outside and it was so cozy. Also the live music is good. And the food i will say fantastic. I fell in love with the place immediately. Itâs just the shisha that I ordered was a disappointment. I was hoping that they will give new charcoals everytime itâs finished, but they didnât do it even after i asked. Instead they asked me to order a new shisha but it was not even finished. Just the charcoal need to be changed.

We had several dishes, some classical like the hot and sour seafood, some less common like jellyfish and fried salmon skins. Overall good was good. We had to remind them about a soup we ordered by that may have reflected an issue of language more then service. They even had pretty good ice cream, although served in tiny amounts!

Came to this place a bunch of times, the have one of the best pizzas in town, the fried rice comes in a huge portion for Indonesian. The staffs were very friendly, the place is accessorized with some very interesting "art" pieces.

Cosy and romantic place to dine in candle light. O'flahertys Irish Restaurant in Medan still has its charm. We have not been here for some times and decided to have our baby back pork ribs for dinner tonite. We were first introduced to the popular baby pork ribs ten years ago. Nice in oriental style. The corn crab and pumpkin soups were nice as starter. But of course down with chilled Heneiken draught was simply marvelous...cheers.
