Came here complete novices and left as Pachinko champions! With the help of the amazing manager we had the best time and won lots of prizes with the night being so enjoyable! Drinks after were lovely and good value for money. I had cheese toast and a green tea latte, both of which were hearty, quite filling and good value. The service was great, as the staff were attentive and friendly (and spoke perfect English). The best thing, however, was definitely the atmosphere. They have a western and Japanese-style dining area, and I chose the latter. Sitting on the tatami mat, sipping my tea, listening to the 50's jazz playing in the background and looking at the street outside made for a really laid back and satisfying lunch. Like a few other reviewers here, I visited this place before going on the Satoyama Experience cycling tour, but whatever your reason for visiting Furukawa, this place offers a great alternative to the ubiquitous shabu shabu places, which you can easily find in Takayama anyway.*FYI* it may help if you look out for the address (1-12) when finding this place, as they don't seem to have an English sign.

I've been meaning to come here ever since it opened! I really enjoyed it! It's so beautiful and open, light and bright! A very relaxing atmosphere with some lovely products on sale made by various local artists and creatives.Had an iced drip coffee and cheesecake which was really lovely! A fun place to chill after a busy day or get the creative juices flowing!
