We came here for lunch and ordered the mustard baked hake, the gemsbok and mango Thai stew and the beef filet. They were all very tasty. A bit touristy but with a nice vibe. we visited Il pomodoro several times while staying in Maun and it never disappointed. The atmosphere is great, relaxed and informal, while the food is up to par with the best restaurants in Italy and abroad.The main dishes are well cooked, varied and presented in a very pleasant way, gelato is simply fantastic and I rarely had better, even in Italy. Pizza is cooked in a traditional wood oven and delicious. The service is friendly and welcoming, drinks are generous, Antonella and Daniele are the best guests. And on Fridays they have DJ nights!If you are in Maun, even for few hours, Il pomodoro is definitely worth a visit. Also very handy, a few minute drive from the airport. I cannot wait to eat there again!

This is one of the few places open for dinner in Maun. Owned by a local entrepreneur, she also served as the primary waitress and was very thoughtful and attentive to our needs. The deck was still in the process of getting built out and when it does, hopefully the place will have a great outdoor space for both locals and tourists alike when completed. Try the homemade lemonades. Burgers were tasty but make sure you ask how you prefer them to be cooked, since default is well-done. Pasta was nice, though the noodles were a bit over cooked, we told the owner to also make them more al dente in the future.
