The food is excellent , the staff is excellent . I went 3 four times a week! The portions huge and cheap ! The pork ribs outstAnding cerdo asada !!! Must, the churrasco carne steak delicious!!! Flora de cana !!! The mirachi players fab! You must go !

In sleepy fisherman village Poneloya, next to la Peñita and about 20 kms from León, with a terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is a place I would have never found by myself. Luckily I was accompanied by a friend who lives there. They serve a great sopa de mariscos, with fish, lobster, crab and gambas, and it was extraordinarily tasty. You won't necessarily meet many other "cheles", foreigners, there, but the Nicas seem to love it. Many visitors of León spend their time in La Peñita, understandably, but do yourself a favor and take a little detour over to Oneloya and Chepe's for some great Nica seafood cuisine and a view over the Pacific.
