Terrible dining here. Food was tasteless and the drinks delivery was so slow and there were only 4 customers here. we'd almost finished our meal when they brought the juice following 3 reminders. Nobody was concerned that the meal was terrible despite having told the waitress when she asked at the end. There was some sort of supervisor in a suit loitering around the exit and he must have heard my comments but didn't say anything.

With exceptional gastronomy and an unsurpassed live entertainment programme featuring renowned Lebanese singers alongside time-honoured belly dancing routines, it's no wonder that Zahle has become a firm favourite for many of the Gulf Hotel's residents. T

We visited Zahle restaurant during our stay at the Gulf Hotel. We both love middle eastern food so were looking forward to it very much. There is a very varied menu and we were asked if we wished to stay for the entertainment later (singers and belly dancer) and if we did we could choose from the set menus. We decided to stay and chose the second of three set menus. A word of warning, the food just keeps coming and coming...... There was easily enough to feed four and we were very disappointed we couldn't finish it all. Having said that, the food was lovely. Very tasty and fresh. The singing and dancing later on was just a novelty, a bit of fun which made it a bit different to a normal restaurant. Worth a try but if you want one of the set menus, you better have your appetite with you!!

Areesh Restaurant

Went to areesh after reading some good reviews. Staff was welcoming and nice. We ordered some basics like kibbeh, shish tawook, hummus etc etc along with some ice tea(orange and peach).Unfortunately the food flavour was not justified when it came to the bill. For instance there was nothing different in the so called orange and peach/lime ice tea. One couldn’t really figure out the orange in it ! The bread was fresh and soft. But apart from that nothing exceptional. So if I were to rate it against value for money - then extremely disappointing.Similar or (even better) food is available at much lower costs. Ofcourse the amwaj lagoon atmosphere adds to it but nothing exceptional. Not sure if I would I be visiting it again.
