Located on the second floor of the Westin Hotel, this is their primary dining restaurant. Conscientious about sourcing locally found produce, these folks practice farm to table. While this sounds good and doesn't taste bad. It's not the type of place I would eat twice at.Our hotel package included dinner and breakfast buffet. We left satisfied and full. There are no complaints however there was also nothing that stood out as great. Considering their price point: 3,500 per person for dinner and 2,200 per person for breakfast, it should have / could have been a better experience.I leave knowing that Awaji is the island of onions, we had raw onion salad, sauteed onions, onion soup, onion tempura, onion curry, onion garnish on the steak - there was onion in everything. It was very good but the flavor got tiring. Probably still go back for breakfast because there are no other viable options but we will not go back for dinner.

The Awaji service area is one of the biggest service area in Japan designed by the prestigious architect Kengo Kuma in the 1998. The building features glass-sided wall on all sides that allow visitors to enjoy the surrounding panorama easily. Inside, there is quite a generous selection of food shop. There are bakeries, seafood donburi shop(so-so), cafe, shokudou(cafeteria-style eateries which sell soba, curry-rice, udon,etc), restaurant and souvenir shop with nice selection and fair price.P.S. try the premium soft cream, costs 500 yen and have to be eaten quickly but one of the best soft cream i ever eaten. The cream is smooth and creamy with langue de chat instead of usual waffle for the cone!

「高田屋嘉兵衛公園」こと「ウェルネスパーク五色」内にあるレストランです。小高い場所にあるので、レストランからは瀬戸内海の眺望もよく、明るい雰囲気です。淡路牛や瀬戸内海のアナゴやハモなど、地元の食材を使った食事が提供されており、利用客も大勢いました。ＧＷの訪問だったので、その季節におすすめの生しらすを使ったお弁当をいただいてきました。
