This is a really great restaurant located in downtown Daegu. They offer a variety of foods (soups, salads, pasta, seafood, pizza, gratin, beers, mojitos, etc) and it's a wonderful place for more American-ish fare. Prices are really good too! It's a very open and welcoming atmosphere and loved by ex-pats and Koreans alike. The menus also have English descriptions and pictures so if you can't read Hangul you'll still be fine. Highly recommended!

One morning we woke up and just needed brunch. My bones ached for brunch! So we trekked into Daegu, and after driving around in circles, almost ready to give upâ¦we miraculously happened upon Beanâs Market . Classy and cozy inside, with a menu that offered some breakfasty items along with Italian inspired dishes and a large wine menu (Dom Perignon for $500 a bottle, anyone?) we ordered a belgian waffle plate that came with a fried egg, a savoury sausage link that literally snapped when cut and a nice green salad. It was delicious- the waffle was light and airy with a touch of sweetnessâ¦everything on the plate was gone in mere minutes, and I probably could have eaten another entire serving- but at a pricey $17 a plate, I stopped at 1. Since American style breakfasts are not part of the Korean culture, one has to expect to pay a bit of a premium for the experience, and â¦â¦delivered. The flavours and ambiance offered here was well worth it.

3. Surf & Turf

Surf & Turf is a great place for casual dining. So far, I have only ordered the surf & turf burger which is a burger with a lobster on it. They also offer lobster rolls, a few different burgers, buffalo wings, and full lobsters. I can't remember the full menu but they do have an Instagram account which offers more information. You can add fries and coleslaw to your meal for only a couple of bucks more. The staff is very friendly and the food is always delicious . Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
