Reviewed By Chocolatelover008Just spent the night at the beautiful cheongpyeong lake. Its a bit difficult to get to if you don't have a car, unfortunately. We went by train and ended up stranded at 8pm. Luckily for us the staff were so amazing (special thanks to Son Yu Ra) they came and collected us and even dropped us back to the station the next day. Without them we would not have been able to stay. The rooms are clean and basic. Great for water sports lovers. I recommend going by car!!

Fun place to stay for one night in Gapyeong
Reviewed By MaliainKoreaIf you are looking for a place to stay overnight in Gapyeong or are looking for a unique pension experience, then Unique Pension (as it’s aptly called) will give you just that. Unfortunately reserving a room here will require some knowledge of Korean and/or have a Korean friend help you, but once you complete the reservation online, the experience from there is quite smooth. Check-in was around 1 minute (literally consists of you giving your name to the owner and him giving you a key). He lives next door, so he is easy to find in case you need anything, but other than that you are on your own. The owner speaks just a little English and he was extremely nice in helping us call a taxi to go to Nami as well as ended up driving us himself after we realized the wait would be too long. He also provides a pickup service from nearby stations which you can request when you make the booking, although we took the bus from gapyeong which was also really easy and took around 30 minutes. There are a few very small restaurants within walking distance from the pension, but there really isn’t much. We ate at Café Fume which was a nice coffee shop we found around 1km away, but there aren’t a lot of sidewalks in this area, so walking on the street is not really recommended. The pension does offer a bbq option when you book the hotel which we highly recommend doing. The owner will buy you meat and vegetables and then you can grill it on your hotel balcony. Every room has a little kitchen (e.g., dishes, microwave, refrigerator and sink) and the rooms are actually quite big and very clean. We stayed in the ramen cup, which to me is the best one and apparently one of the most popular. From this pension it is about a 20 minute drive to Gapyeong station, 15 minute drive to Nami Island and a 10 minute drive to Petite France. This is a great place to stay when visiting this area, and a great place to stay in general when looking to get away for a night and try something different. Where else can you sleep in a ramen cup?!? Totally worth a visit :)

Reviewed By friend098여름에 가족들과 함께 가평쪽 숙소를 알아보다가 수영장있는 곳에서 시원하게 놀고 싶어서 예약한 펜션. 큼지막한 수영장덕분에 가족들 모두 시원하게 놀 수 있었다. 가족들이 모두 만족스럽게 지냈다.

Fantastic facilities
Reviewed By lillaxoxovAmazing room, wonderful management. They don't speak much English but it was ok. The bbq by the river is an additional 20$ but it made the stay so much more memorable. The facilities are all clean and comfortable. The hot tub is huge big enough for 4-6 ppl. Overall a fabulous stay.

Reviewed By TwoooOneLocated in a quieter stretch of the river leading to Nami-island (about 20mins drive away to jetty/zip-line), resort is located right in front of riverbank like many others. The host/owner made the difference to our stay, with well arranged BBQ by the river-side, fire-place to keep warm, fire-works after dinner, and seafood hotpot in our own room. Room was clean and well-kept, river was misty in Nov morning, resort was full on weekend. The resort also has some red wines and soju for sale to go with your meals. Overall, the owner/host should b highly commended for great hospitality and sincerity in making one's stay warm and comfortable! Thank you!

Reviewed By 재욱임2016지인가족과 우리가족 총 아홉 명(성인6, 아이 3)이 다녀왔습니다. 일단, 수영장이 엄청 큽니다. 일반 펜션이나 민박집의 사이즈와 비교 불허입니다. 수영장 선베드에 앉아서 뒤로 제트스키 타는 사람들의 목소리가 들리고, 앞으로는 파아란 수영장에 아이들이 놀고 있습니다. 캠핑장도 달려 있고, 뒤로는 방갈로가 있어서, 선택하시면 될 것 같아요. 저희는 캠핑장을 이용했습니다. 수영장에 붙어서 출발드림팀 세트가 있고, 그 세트에서 출발드림팀을 체험할 수 있는데, 저는 나이도 있고, 이제 뼈가 부러지면 잘 안붙을 것 같아 도전하지 못했습니다. 제가 갔을 때는 이창명씨가 직접 사회보던 날이라서 옆에서 구경하니까 재미있더라고요. 주차장은 무쟈게 큽니다. 주차 공간 부족할 일은 없을 것 같고, 바비큐도 인당 얼마에 제공하는 것 같은데, 저는 이용하지 않았어요. 안에 매점이 있어서 부족한 술은 조달했고, 가격은 이마트보다야 비싸지만, 일반 편의점 수준이라 크게 부담스럽지는 않았습니다. 밤엔 풀사이드 클럽 파티가 열리는데, 젊은이들과 꼭 함께 하고 싶었지만, 와이프가 옆에 있어서 용기 못냈습니다. 사심 다 버리고, 그냥 함께 젊어지고 싶었습니다(^^;;). 디제이가 신나게 음악 틀어주고 손님들은 춤추고 그러더라고요. 으아, 내려가서 알바라도 하고 싶습니다. 딸은 신기하게 바라보는데, 앞으로 저기 간다고 하면 말려야 할지 보내야 할 지 살짝 궁금합니다. 여튼 전반적으로 시설도 좋고, 가격도 착하고, 분위기도 좋았습니다. 제일 좋은 건 북한강을 끼고 보는 경관인데, 제 딸은 북한강 뒤로 한 산등성이를 보고 디즈니 만화 모아나의 여신 캐릭터 태피티(?)가 누워 있는 것 같다고 해서 데려오길 잘했다는 생각이 듭니다. 이틀 묵었는데 사장님이 친절하게 해주셔서 와이프도 딸도 또 오고 싶다고 합니다. 수상레포츠도 하고 싶었는데, 애들이 위험할까봐 타지 않았습니다. 좀 더 크면 시켜주면 되겠다는 생각이고요. 수상스포츠는 친구들하고 다시 방문해서 즐겨야 할 것 같습니다.

Located at highest in Dasung-ri area
Reviewed By HanJuyoungC1 ( 2015.11.06 ) This pension was located at highest in this area, so at night, there can be see star brightly, I think. But I've visited there, it was rainy. So I could not find merit. There was built like mountain cabin, and had outside terrace could have dinner with BBQ. The owner was very kind.

Reviewed By 1Mingthis is a quaint riverside guesthouse of 3 floors in a quiet countryside. great for retreat and solitude, yet reachable to amenities. There is a single chicken teppanyaki restaurant, a minimart ( you could buy microwaveable meals there), and the tourist bus stop is also there, about 5min walk away. However, the best is the super obliging host who picked and sent us to the station, and also sent us to the rail bike park on the 2nd day, all FOC!
