It is a picturesque, small, mediaeval village, set alongside and on the local Mincio river.
You can wander the alleyways, enjoy the scenery and surrounding scenic sights or even settle in one of the local restaurants.
It's a very photogenic, peaceful and romantic place, a perfect, place for an intermediate stop, or hanging out a quiet evening, if you travel in the region.

A fantastic place to cools down from the summer, surrounded by lots of grass, trees, palms, water attractions for the small, youngsters and adults. A very affordable day with restaurants. Definitely a nice place to spend and alternative day.

This is a bridge rebuilt in the 1600s I think on top of an existing Roman bridge. Unfortunately it is in a poor state of repair, and has large supporting ironwork which makes photography a bit difficult. The view from the portholes on the Borghetto side are brilliant though, hence worth the 10 minute detour to see them.

Historic and awe inspiring. Whenever I visit a monument like this I wonder at the dexterity, the magnitude and the precision that the early Italians had for building without the use of technology. Not forgetting the magnificence and horrors these walls must have witnessed. Fantastic.

Great place to visit and stop to purchase local wines, staff happy to provide tasting samples and 5 or 10litre containers available for bulk wine at low cost. Beers are limited and expensive and Grappas are available, but good selection of wines. Wine museum attached to wander and Risotto food served in clean empty restaurant or local risotto rice available to buy.

Bella piazza nel centro di Valeggio sul Mincio dove sorge il palazzo comunale con una facciata variopinta e affrescata .
Bello il palazzo ma molto interessante il centro con tantissime vie lastricate.
La zona è in parte pedonale e non ci sono molti parcheggi.
