Top 10 Things to do in Tanglin, Singapore

June 24, 2021 Florencio Paulino

The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

My family visited this Natureland outlet last week for a foot massage. We were reluctant at first because we had to bring along our four-year-old. Luckily the staff were very helpful, so we managed to get a room for me and my partner while our little boy played with his iPad. The foot massage was also great, and I just loved the foot bath.

I enjoyed my aromatherapy pedicure session at Trimmings Salon & Spa. The environment is serene, I was seated in a room that faces the lush greenery outside, it’s a beautiful view for me. The products that the manicurist used on me smells pleasant too! Best part is that they don’t do any hard selling. I got to rest and relax throughout my entire time there. Love it! Will visit again!

Origin Bar

Complementing its interior design that celebrates train travel, the concept at Origin Bar centres around a journey of discovery of the 5 key districts of Singapore, the hotel’s hometown: Orchard Road, Chinatown, Little India, Boat Quay and Marina Bay. Inspired cocktails are hand-crafted by a team of young mixologists with a fierce passion for what they do. To create Origin Bar's cocktail menu, Bar Manager Adam Bursik took a deep dive to immerse in local produce, enjoying the abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables in Singapore’s tropical climate.
