We spent a few days at Irago Cape, have to say the weather was beautiful and we had a lovely time. There is an excellent cycle path all along the coast, obviously you can rent a bicycle from a hotel or the port - there may be other places too. If you are able to drive then a car will be the best way to get around as we struggled to find any attractions or restaurants within walking distance of our hotel. The port has regular Ferries running for most of the day and we took a trip over to Toba for the day. Quality of the Beaches vary considerably with most being quite gritty rather than a fine sand, the beach area around the port is quite dirty and strewn with all kinds of litter. This may be a little unfair and abnormal as a typhoon had just recently passed through.
Overall a nice break from the hustle bustle of the cities, don't expect to do much other than relax!

この地を訪ねてみてみた事のある景色が他にもある事に気がついた。それは千葉県の九十九里ヶ浜の海岸線だった。どこまでも少し三日月のような形で続く海岸線は美しい。この渥美半島の「恋路ヶ浜」もそうだった。
言われは「悲恋」なのだがそんな事はどうでもよい。

伊良湖岬に行く度に立ち寄っています。今年に入って3回目でしたが毎回休日のため駐車場は満車の状態でした。道路を挟んだ未舗装の駐車場に止めて行きました。キャベツが高い時期でしたが、店頭販売の野菜はキャベツやからみ大根は安かったです。店内のミニトマトやシイタケも安いので少し多めに買って帰りました。値段の表示も消費税込みなのでわかり易い表示で良かったです。

いつも車で通り過ぎる事の多い芦ヶ池農業公園ですが、あまりにもコスモスが見事に咲き誇っているので思わず寄り道してしまいました。春先のチューリップに始まり桜やヒマワリなど季節感溢れる花々に出会えます。入園料や駐車料も無料というのが素晴らしい。小さな動物園もあって子供連れで遊ぶにも最適です。
この地域はキャベツやブロッコリーの一大産地ですので、秋から春先までお安く買い求められるのも魅力です。レストランもユニークなメニューが揃っており一見の価値ありです。

The hike (if taken at a reasonable pace) is nice and invigorating, though I wouldn't recommend doing it in the heat of summer like I did.
At the top is a place to rest, bathrooms, and ice cream and drink vending machines.
Above all, the view is beautiful, and a must see if you visit Tahara.

石門に行くは伊良湖ビューホテルから下に歩いて行ったり、椰子の実記念碑上の駐車スペースから歩いたりします。日出の駐車場から遊歩道を歩くことができますが、今回は陥没箇所があって通行禁止になっていました。駐車場から砂浜を歩いて行きました。波も弱くて歩くのも楽しかったです。石門の穴は近くまで行ってのぞけますが、岩場なので足元には気を付けてください。朝夕の日の出や日の入りにはとてもきれいなところです。

I went with a friend who was terrified of puppets, which made the experience of viewing the parade floats, all of which have several puppets on them, was hilarious.
It's a great way to learn about the history of the town, and to see examples of traditional Japanese festival activities.

この「椰子の実記念碑」は、歌の文句に対してこの丘から見おろすと椰子の実が流れ着くような感触を得る。
もう一つは「故、島崎藤村を忍んでもっと判りにくくて、細く小さな碑である。どちらも見学すると感激する。」
