Hano Island

Reviewed By Arnaud C - Solvesborg, Sweden

The island is great for day tours, you have time to visit almost all of it. If you're only there for 3-4h, I usually keep to the northern part. Climb up to the lighthouse, go check on the sleeping dragon, pay my regards to the Englishmen on my way down to Bönsäcken, maybe bathe a little there, throw some rocks in the see, and walk back to the village for a well deserved ice-cream.
It's often better weather on Hanö than on the Mainland, always funny to be in the sun and see the clouds just flying by.
Where Hanö becomes truly great is, if you have the opportunity to stay over, after the last ferry has left. Being "stuck" on Hanö on a warm sunny evening is so great and relaxing.

They come here hoping to catch one of the extremely well developed salmon or sea trout that are our hallmark. The wild salmonoids here make Morrums fishing unique. Aside from the fishing, we can offer restaurants, accommodation, conference, exhibition and more!

Kronolaxfiskeanläggningen i Mörrum är väl värt ett besök, vi hade tur att få se en jättestor lax stå stilla i strömmen, en syn som inte var väntad och minnet kommer att finnas med i fotosamlingen länge framöver.

If you're lucky you will see the local otters.

Backaskog slott

Reviewed By GothenburgProfessor - Gothenburg

From the outside Bäckaskogs slott looks very impressive, but unfortunately it's nicer from the outside than inside. Having said that, the breakfast room and other public rooms are rather nice, but the actual rooms vary in quality. Some are OK although a bit dated, while others are quite ghastly but in size and interior. Beware of this if you book a room at Bäckaskogs castle.
