We were lucky enough to be taken to The Grand Buddha Temple by our host whilst in Xinchang. Please ensure that you put the time by to fully appreciate the size of this attraction as in 3 to 4 Hours we only covered a 1/4 of the area, if that. It is very beautiful and centered around the spirituality of the area. There are many Temples to visit and beautiful scenery to wonder through. It was very busy as the local people have free access, again being westerners we were quite an attraction in our own right! It was really amazing and words can not put it into context. We have promised ourselves a return visit and plan to allow ourselves more time. I highly recommend you pay it a visit and experience the wonder of the Grand Budda Temple!

It is normally crowded remember to take your passport along.the entry is by ticket but the way the place has been maintained one does not mind paying at all. The Gardens are well maintained. The living quarters are befitting a noble. The Reading rooms, the class rooms are indeed very interesting. The over all decor of the house is awe inspiring some of the house hold gadgets are indeed very interesting so is the library
Very satisfying experience but then seeing is beleaving . Worth a visit.the Chinese have a lot of regard for him despite being communists

A place for 2 people-drifting in summer, ticket price was around 100 RMB. The route was quite natural and safe, some places with fast water & some with slow water flow. There was a free locker to put your stufs before drifting on the water, don't take anything with you when you drift, and don't forget to protect your skin from the Sunshine with sun-block before you start. Facility's employees could be seen by the route to make sure everything's fine, and there was a photographer who took your picture when you drift. You could checked if any good photos after you drift. The route is around 1.5-2 hours, long enough to enjoy the water, and you could take a shower after finish. Don't forget to take your own lunch if you finish around lunch time.

新昌大佛寺这个景区还是挺不错，位处新昌县城中心，还有这么大片的绿水青山，还是非常不错的。逛了2个多小时，基本上把景区的景点都逛完了，天公不作美，下了点小雨。但景区的路还是比较好走的。还有一个石窟改造的景点挺有意思。

Went there with two Chinese friends. The drive was quite good with nice view however after reaching the old town I did not find it attractive enough. It was on the left side of the road looked like a village in India how ever though rustic in look from the road inside the streets were neat and clean.The houses well maintained.Most of them had the house hold things people used in the yesteryear which were quite interesting.some houses were occupied there were very few people in the streets may be did not come across 5 or 6 people.indeed there was water supply system which must have been a recent development.There was nice looking church.
After having seen the old town at Lijiang it was a damp squib may be my expectations of old towns had soared after seeing the li jiang old town which was bustling with tourists .
I did not find many tourists there probably it has not been marketed by the Govt.

我们是自驾游玩新昌穿岩十九峰时游玩这里的。我们买的是旅游的套票，包括了两顿正餐，其中之一的正餐，就是在重阳宫里吃的。午餐之后，浏览重阳宫。很古老的宫殿，修建在山坡之上。最高点是升仙处，在山顶，有一些阴森森的哈。

很多人不知道新昌這個小縣城，但大家一定聽過李白的千古名篇《夢遊天姥吟留別》，天姥山就在此。新昌風景眾多，號稱「江南第一大佛」的新昌大佛寺，環境清幽、文化濃厚；怪石嶙峋的穿岩十九峰，是金庸武俠的外景拍攝地，郭靖、楊過、令狐沖等都曾在此留下身影；沃洲湖景區山清水秀，黑白分明的民居建築散落其中，儼然一幅水墨畫卷。鳥羽花香，芬多精含氧量充足適合全家大小一起出外踏青的好景點

十里潜溪名字听上去还是很高端的，但如果你想徒步欣赏这十里的滨水风光似乎不太现实。溪谷整体上还是比较窄，行车道路占据了很大一部分，没有开发供徒步者行走的线路，里面有三个景点，分别是天烛湖、百丈岩、七盘仙谷，百丈岩似乎是不收费的，其他都要收费。潜溪入口处的元岙村，随着新农村建设，周边已经盖满了别墅，但人气堪忧，有一个五星级酒店已经烂尾。进入潜溪后，有三个小村，景区周边和丁村有一定的接待设施，沿溪设有多个露天烧烤场所。溪谷的尽头是一处叫石狗洞的地方，是一处丹霞地貌，景观不错，有一些徒步的人会光顾。整体来说，对于外地观光游客来讲，不是很推荐。
