Old water town, not too commercial. Walk along the river and discover old shops (2 barbers from another time!), old houses and some local handmades.

I didnt know anything about Lu Xun but I loved learning about him and his philosophy and writing. His home is beautiful and traditional and well worth the visit.

I wouldn't say that Dayu's tomb itself is of much interest to most Westerners. The reason my family went (and the only real reason to go, in my opinion) was to spend the day outside with friends strolling the immense grounds of the park in which the tomb resides. It's a pretty nice and very quiet park with typical Chinese architectural, botanical, and statuary features (and some typically cheesy things like a bow & arrow shooting range). Admission is pretty steep, so it's nowhere we've ever considered returning, although we live here in the city. But if a friend invites you out, it's worth the trip.

This is the same kind of street you find in other Chinese towns. It is sanitized reconstruction that, while nice to look at, has very little to offer that you cannot find elsewhere. It mostly sells calligraphy decorated fans and a few other souvenirs. It is OK, but unless you have a strong interest in the early life of Lu Xun (who only lived there until he was 17) and are visiting his childhood home, there is no need to go there. If you go north a little to where Tishan Bridge is you will find a genuine example of a classic neighbourhood without the commercial stuff that you find at Luxun Lu.

今天下午，与西安六渡文化传媒于总一起参拜绍兴石佛寺石窟中的如来石佛，遇一老者，自称八十有七，六七岁时随父亲一起来参拜过如来石佛，今天是第二次，说小时候看见过的石佛满身渡金，现在年月久了金粉也全部脱落了，于是咨询了一下寺内主持和当地一六十有余施主，均说不太清楚，而主持方丈一言惊醒于总一行：你们今天遇到佛了，告诉你们石佛以前是金身！于总当即表示愿马上为如来石佛捐涂金身，方丈也当即表态说马上会请示文物等相关部门征得同意，然后着手金身如来石佛。看来不久，我们会看到一尊金灿灿的石佛了。

You will find a heavenly lake every 2 minutes wherever you go within keqiao. It is a small ancient town, very peaceful, green & enchanting. Though there are a lot of cars it doesnt matter as the roads are wide and spacious. There are separate sections on the road for the 2 wheeler vehicles. This gives the 4 wheelers complete liberty to go rash driving. So you need to be very careful while crossing. Here, every second car will be an Audi, BMW, Mini cooper, etc. People are wealthy, live lavishly & eat to their heart's content. Basically a happy & content town, as i would call it.
PS: Dont miss the amazingly tasty barbecue at one of the stalls that you find across the town on the roads post 9pm. A heaven for non-veg lovers. & veg too....
