Nice Panorama of Zhiguli Gate - place, where Volga river runs between 2 Mountains. Take the bus 1 or 50 from the Main Train Station (far stop near the tram rails). Just 500m feet walk in the direction of bus from the stop "Upravlenchesky Tsentralny", and you at the place "Vertolyotka" ("Observation point "Helicopter runway"). You can be more lucky with the bus 1k (1short), which drives you exactly from the station to the place (unfortunately, this bus schedule not so often).

It's a nice statue on the river bank. Even better when you have seen the original painting (in the state museum in Saint Petersburg) or if you know the song from the barge haulers.

The place is really unique! On one spot they collected samples of military and civil technics starting from mid of XX century! Well, unique is just a half of succes! The other half is museum is interactive and very interesting! Never concidered myself as technic-fan but I was thrilled to spin helicopter's propeller! Is there lots of places where you can take picture of you sitting on the airplane's wing or facing the cannon's muzzle?!

Weekdays it's not crowdy at all. The ticket's price is funny! So it worth to spend a couple of hours there. The only negative side is location and a bit complicated transportation to the museum. But it's not such a big deal

Stalin's Bunker

Reviewed By Evesmyth - Kiev, Ukraine

We had an absolutely fantastic tour of the bunker. Our guide was absolutely incredible. He really recreated the time period and was able to engage us in the idea of the bunker and the time period in a real way. It's not an obvious to find (Stalin's planners clearly did a great job), save for a sign or two around the area. Loved the red strobe lights/alarms that went off to recreate the feeling of an emergency as you go into the bunker. The video at the end was very powerful. You really felt the urgency of World War II and the idea that the men that you saw marching off may not be returning to the people that love them. (tour in Russian)
