R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum is like stepping back in time. My husband and I recently attended the grand opening of new Montebello block. The celebration was just awesome, bands were playing, folks dressed in costume, old fashion games for the kids, hay rides.. The fun was never ending. The museum and buildings are very well done. There is so much to see. You won't be disappointed!

We always take visitors to the area to Grass Roots to try out their selection of cheese. It's really very good and the samples help you decide your favourites before you have to purchase.
Their products are sold in our local stores but you'll find the prices cheaper if you go to Grass Roots directly.
Glad we have such a quality cheese maker in town.

Little Mountain Park

Reviewed By Linda S - Metchosin, Canada

Little Mountain Trail system is a pleasant conglomeration of several short trails running over a hill top in the Salmon Arm area. We accessed it off of Okanagan Avenue but there are a few different access points. The view from the top of the Summit Trail is pretty looking out over Salmon Arm to Shuswap Lake. If you string together a few different trails you can put together a nice hours walk/hike in a very pretty forested location. These trails are multi-use; expect hikers, dogs, horses and mountain bikes.

On the east side of Marine Park drive at the public parking lot this small building with the blue roof is right on your way to the pier. Execllent displays and information and staffed by enthusiastic people this is a good place to have the kids learn while you destress from a vacation summer. Shaded, grassy areas nearby makes a great place for a picnic. Public washrooms on site.
