A great place to eat at reasonable prices. The staff are bilingual and very helpful and friendly. the portions are generous and if available try the bison stew, delicious.

We had breakfast and lunch here. Best omelets ever according to the the three people who ordered them. My scrambled eggs were perfect along with toast and potatoes. Really good value. Grilled cheese and fries for lunch were outstanding. Burgers, sausage and fries for the other three were excellent. You order at the counter and pick up the food when it is ready. This is really a local place so do not expect a lot of English. Service is very friendly. Highly recommended.

On Saturday Sept 9, 2017 i visited the village of Montebello, QC. The history of this little village of 900 is very interesting. As driving down the main street I was attracted to the Zouk Bar and restaurant. The place is like a large log cabin but very nice and clean. I decided to stay for lunch. The server was very nice and suggested a local beer from the village. It was excellent and came in a 500 ml bottle for a low price of $7.39. She recommend the Hangover Sandwich. It was a smoked meat Sandwich ($17.00 a little pricey) that came with a Delicious salad. They also included chips and salsa, not french fries. I enjoyed my meal and I would recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

Restaurant inside is very quaint and clean, lots of options on the menu, the seafood pasta is full of shrimp, mussels calamari ,clams and scallops . The shellfish are taken out the shells and are full of flavor. Veal parmigiana is tender and lightly breaded . Service was excellent and they have an extensive moderately priced wine list. It was a pleasant break from the in town resort food and pricing.

We were looking for a local casual place to eat with burgers, hot dogs ( 3types of sausages- not normal hot dogs) fries or Poutine.
We found this place by searching with Google Maps.
All locally sourced meats, cheese, baked goods are used.
Wonderful selection of burgers with special toppings like Brie, Montebello cheese, blue cheese plus many other options. Burgers can be ordered 3oz or 6oz. They are served with Belgian fries.
Many Poutine options as well.
The girls (two aged 12yrs) decided to share a regular Poutine.
We looked at the size portions/ containers and we decided on the Grande box. Didn't look that large when empty. They were not going to have anything else.
Well, we were wrong. The amount of Poutine that fit in that box was immense.
Girls didn't come close to finishing half of it. It was delicious though.
So diners beware! The large box is VERY LARGE! Very generous.
There is also another area that serves milkshakes and special ice cream items.
Definitely recommend if looking for a casual delicious option. There is also Seating outside at picnic tables if weather good.
They proprietor is very nice and anxious to share his creations.
Thanks for letting me out of the $5.00 bet. LOL.

The restaurant is very pretty from the outside. Brick, stone and very attractive lighting. The inside is also charming with a large fireplace in the meeting of the room. We found the menu varied and the service very friendly. Our one complaint was the price. For 6 people (4 adults, 2 children) 5 alcohol drinks, 3 appetizers and no dessert, the bill came to $240. We recommend trying Le Louis Joseph while staying in the Montebello area, just be prepared for the cost. We would return again.

Our favorite dining experience at Le Chateau Montebello, is the nightly BBQ (except for Saturday, Monday to Thursday, which are for guests of the hotel only). Although we never stayed there, being only 25 km away, we make a point of savouring their evening outside BBQ, at least twice a summer, on our way to our cottage in the Laurentians. When we entertain visitors from out of town, we make it a priority to visit the place. I believe Le Chateau is the largest log structure in the world. It was constructed of B.C. fur log transported across Canada, by rail, I believe.

Yes, the food is very good. But the whole experience was marred by the owner/waitress' absolutely horrid attitude. From blatantly overcharging us to being generally nasty to our kids, who were actually really well behaved, the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Which is a shame, because the food really is quite good. Still, you don't go out and drop ~$100 to leave with a sour taste in your mouth. Definitely will not be going back.

My wife and I walked from the Fairmont Montebello to have breakfast. Immediately we were greeted by the owners, who made us feel welcome and put smiles on our faces immediately.
This is owned/operated by a lovely couple. When we were there the gentleman was taking care of us and his lovely wife is the chef.
The food and presentation is excellent and extremely unique. For instance we were presented with a huge tray of jams and peanut butter, etc. In small bowls to have with our breakfast.
Freshly squeezed delicious juice was an option , it was so fresh, and fragrant.
This husband and wife team both checked in with us several times to make sure we enjoyed the food, and to top up our coffee.
I am not surprised that this is one of the top places in the province on TripAdvisor. When I am back in Montebello I look forward to the food and an engaging visit with some wonderful people!
