The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

Bridging the hills of Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Kent Ridge Park, the Southern Ridges combine invigorating exercise with spectacular views across Singapore.
The Southern Ridges connect the following parks: Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, Hort Park, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve – all of which can delight any walking, photography, and nature enthusiasts. Mount Faber Park is one of the oldest parks in Singapore and probably one of the most popular tourist destination because of the cable car ride. The park is connected to Telok Blangah Hill Park by Henderson Waves Bridge. The park houses the Marina Deck, Palm Plaza, Jewel Box, and Faber Point. The Henderson Waves is my favourite spot. This 899-foot long pedestrian, wooden bridge suspended at 118 feet above Henderson Road, is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It connects Mount Faber Park and Telok Blangah Hill Park. It is called such because the bridge has a waveform made up of seven undulating curved steel ribs that alternately rise over and under its deck. The bridge also has shelters with seats within. The Southern Ridges of Singapore is a “fresh air and greenery” personified. It’s probably all that and more. There is something about its great outdoors that gives walking, running a little kick. So when you find yourself in the Lion City wanting to commune with nature, and you want to feel more alive, energetic and optimistic – walk your way to the Southern Ridges.

We bring in and sell durians from Malaysia during durian seasons. To ensure customers' satisfaction, visits to the durian plantation are made personally by Ah Seng. All varieties of durians (Mountain Cat, Golden Phoenix, Red Prawn, Green Bamboo, D13, D24, etc) in season are available.
If you are a fan of exquisite Malaysia durians, then this is a stall that you must patronize. They specialize in Mao Shan Wang and Golden Phoenix breed. Depending on the demand and supply situation, price can vary from S$15 per kg to high S$20's per kg. While there are plenty of durian sellers in Singapore, Ah Seng supplies consistently good quality ones. Perhaps it's due to his close connection with the durian plantation that is his source.

The Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) is Singapore’s first and only natural history museum. The museum, which traces its roots to the original Raffles Museum of 1878, is among the oldest such institution in the region. Established through philanthropic gifts totalling $56 million, LKCNHM aims to be a leader in Southeast Asian biodiversity and conservation research, education and outreach. The exhibition gallery is divided into two levels: The main biodiversity gallery, comprising 15 zones, tracks the history of life on earth, among them green plants, fungi, molluscs, arthropods, birds and mammals. The mezzanine floor, home to the heritage zone, presents the history of the Raffles Museum and LKCNHM. This gallery holds the “Cabinets of Curiosities” where visitors can examine Singapore’s history of biodiversity exploration; the people who helped build this; and the biological treasures accumulated over 137 years. A zone titled “Singapore Today” reveals the geology of the island and the important conservation efforts by national agencies.
As the title, I never know we have a museum with dinosaur bones. Didn’t really read the write out so I am not sure if these are fossils or constructed. Other than the dinosaur, it’s has been an enlightening trip as we get to learn about the various flora and fauna of Singapore. The write outs are not too long nor too short. Just detailed enough to entice one to read, and enough exhibits such that the trip is not boring.
