this is our first time to visit the strawberry farm. we were all excited, especially the kid! we manage to drive to the farm base on the Google map instruction. the girl at the counter knew very little English but we managed to buy the tickets for the next picking session. the strawberries were very sweet and juicy! highly recommended!!!

たい焼きを買って休憩タイム。日光の天然氷のかき氷があるのには驚きました。さすがは栃木。地元産のお野菜も沢山売ってました。レストランも併設しているし、子供のための遊具もあるし、なかなか楽しめる道の駅です。

I've been told that this is the biggest shopping outlet in Oyama CIty - it is pretty big.
Most of the stores are distictly average for Japan. The usual chains like UniQlo, GU, ABC-Mart, Daiso and so on. There are a few smaller stores which are more specialist such as a watch and clock store and a craft shop. Plenty of cafes and small eateries as well. A lot of the stores you will find almost anywhere in Japan, but a few are a little more unusual. There is a cinema as well.
For me though, the best of them all is a small Chinese style "restaurant" called Punpukumaru (ぷんぷくまる). They do good noodles, chahan, dim sum etc. The star of the show is their gyouza though (fried and/or steamed dumplings) - as good or better than any I've had anywhere else.
If you like shopping you won't be disappointed but don't expect anything mind-blowing. Overall average with just a few above average shops.

思川のほとりの高台、かつて祇園城があった跡を整備した公園です。本丸跡や土塁が残っていて、当時の様子をしのぶことができました。
サクラの木に囲まれた広場があり、お花見の時期は大変な賑わいだそうです。

須賀神社は、小山評定所のある小山市役所の並び。大通り沿いで、妙建寺の隣りです。
藤原秀郷の創建に始まるとされる歴史で、入口の鳥居からしても構えが立派。家康が関が原の戦勝を祈願したことでも知られます。

大型の複合遊具があり、変わり種自転車やゴーカートにも乗れるので、週末は家族連れでにぎわいます。
広々としていて気持ちの良い公園です。

結城市との境に近い運動公園。遊具もある広場が公園の奥にありますが、駐車場も近くにあります。なお、結城市に入ったあたりになりますが、この公園の近くには温泉の足湯があります。非常に分かりにくいのでネットで調べてから行くとよいでしょう。

今は市内でも有数の住宅街になっています。その中心となっているお店がここです。休日は激混みで車で来る方がほとんどなので、早めに行くことをオススメします。

This fireworks show is held every summer downstream from the Kanko Bridge on the Omoi River-in Oyama in Tochigi Prefecture, a place with deep ties to the Tokugawa Shogunate. About 2,000 fireworks are launched to bloom beautifully in the night sky, including extra-large starmines and flurries of "shakudama"-style fireworks, and a "Niagara Falls"-style cascade display. The launch site is very close to the viewing area, making the combination of sound, light, and water even more impressive and delighting spectators. The day before the festival features an opening carnival with a variety of events.

せっかくなので青春１８きっぷを購入。
こういったイベント会場は帰りのきっぷを買う行列ができるので
こういうチケットを利用すると良いですよ。
着いた花火会場はとても広い草原の河原で
開始前１時間の夕方６時に到着しましたが
ゆったりとした感じで一人ならいくらでも座れそうでした。
この時点で土手沿いにある有料席にも空きがあるようで販売していました。
花火は大玉が多く腹にズシンと来る音がたまりません。
横に長い打ち上げ会場を生かした横に長い打ち上げも多く迫力もあります。
途中に今度結ばれるカップルのメッセージと花火があってほのぼのします。
どこの花火大会はラストに山場がありますが、
こちらかその時間が特に長くて最後の方はみんな声が出ていました。
とても良い花火大会でした。
栃木県南部の人は性格が穏やかな人が多いと聞いた事がありますが、
そのせいか会場も和やかな雰囲気で、
花火にありがちな悪目立ちしている人は外国から来たと思われる人だけでとても良い雰囲気で鑑賞出来ました。
この大会で目についたのが人の動線の管理がしっかりしていて、合流地点等要所には複数のスタッフが立っていて動線の管理をしていました。あ
そのためなのか夜９時丁度に終わり混んでいたようにも思えましたが９時３５分の上野駅に乗る事が出来たので帰りは比較的スムーズだったのでしょう。

渡良瀬遊水地を囲む土手の周囲に桜が植えられています。土手の上からは遊水地を一望し、富士山や秩父の山々、浅間山、日光の山々など関東の山を見渡すことができます。夏にはすぐ近くに田んぼアートも作られるので、四季折々の楽しみがあります。
