Reviewed By lizbecwsWe stayed here for 2 nights, myself, Husband Daughter and my Son in law, it was really good, the family are so nice and will go that extra mile for you, we ate 2 dinners and 1 breakfast, all the meals were well cooked and delicious, plenty of choice especially for my veggie Daughter, the tree house rooms are very clean with an en suite shower room and a fan, the view of the lake is spectacular, the table and chairs are on the lake side where they will serve you cups of tea in the morning. We went to Yala park with a trip with the owners brother, and no complaints there, we loved this place we didnt want to leave, and really hope we can stay there again, thank you all for making it a very memorable stay.

Reviewed By cazanne48We loved our stay here and would have stayed longer was it not for the fact we had places to go. Mahesh and Milshani were perfect hosts. Very friendly, kind and helpful. Our room was spotless, Great shower, great WiFi, lovely seating areas on balcony and upstairs lobby. We booked a very good Yala safari from here at good fair price. They will also help with transport to and from here if you ask them. We even borrowed their motorbike. Milshani's food was plentiful and delicious and good price. Can't say more really. Would recommend and stay here anytime

An amazing experience in the jungle
Reviewed By markalanhigginsWe stayed in King Reach for one night last week before heading into Yala on Safari and we could not have had a better experience. The location is remote so it is an adventure from the start. We were picked up in a Safari SUV and brought out to where we would be staying. The "camp site" is beatifully set up and mainained. We were welcomed by the lovely team and brought to our room which was just amazing. Big, spacious, modern and clean with all the facilities you might expect despite being in the middle of nowhere! We were then given a lovely lunch in the restaurant which was followed by a mini safari. The mini safari turned out to be not so mini as we managed to see a leopard sitting on the road, visit a local buddhist temple to be greeted by the head monk and then we had the luck to find one of the elephants that the monk looks after coming in from the jungle for some fruit! We were able to rub and feed it which was just amazing. When we got back to the site after the mini safari it was dark so we assumed the day was winding down but no, the team had set up a wonderful BBQ under the stars for us. There was a campfire, music and really good food prepared for the chef. We loved every minute of it. The next morning, we were leaving at 5am to go to Yala but the team had already prepared fruit, pancakes and tea for us which was all packed up and ready to go with us on our safari. The team could not have been nicer and the whole experience was just fantastic. I could not recommend it more highly and would urge anyone ready this to visit when you can.

Such sweet owners
Reviewed By Ahat21The hospitality and kindness. Such kind people. Nice hotel. Basic but fine for the area. Busy with a lot of local families too. Rooms were small but clean as was the hotel. Food was good and very homely. Takes a while to come but worth the wait. Owners were super sweet as a solo female traveller making sure I was safe. The gentleman drove me one evening to the main town free of charge as I wanted to see some of the temples and he also made sure I got back safely. On an early morning safari, they made sure I had a breakfast bag and saw me off. There are not many hotel options in the area and I would definitely recommend this.

Reviewed By 228shenalkI stayed here two nights on my journey in Sri Lanka. The place located at infront of a beautiful lake middle of a village. I had my first night dinner at the hostel. The food was great. They offered me a free dessert also after the dinner. They offered me a free tour in the night to see a very rare kind of bird. The owner was very kindful. He picked me from city center and again droped me to correct bus free of charge. I could see three crocodiles onsite. I arranged a nice safari to Bundala National Park. Highly Recommended.
