Reviewed By bengivesreviewsvery unsatisfactory night: customers of the hotel's rooftop bar screamed until 2 am, in the corridors, in the elevators, in the stairs. This didn't seem to bother the staff of the bar, they must not know they work in a hotel. I couldn't sleep at all until 2 am. I complained the day after to management, as i wanted a compensation for not being able to sleep, was only offered reward points, and told it's really a shame i didn't complain on the night. Avoid this place if you're trying to sleep...

Our 96 studios and apartments are fully furnished and include office space, a television, and a kitchenette equipped with hotplates, a coffee machine with pod, a refrigerator, a microwave, and dishwasher.

Reviewed By backupsWe tried to stay here when a flight from Geneva was cancelled, it was a very busy time for them, I understand, however, it took 3 hour to be able to get to the front of the queue, then they told us there were no rooms left so could no honour the confirmed booking - they offered us an uncleaned room at 2am, for which we had to use our own bedding as what they gave us did not match the beds. After they suggested I share a room with some stranger....... told them that was not appropriate and the staff basically said well that is a solution, what else can they do I had to pay a deposit when booking through the booking app. However, 6 weeks on, and chasing them for the deposit back and they have not provided it

Reviewed By CopitoblancoI was there with my kids and we loved it. The hotel is clean, the room nice, and being next to the bus stop is handy when you want to go up to the Verzasca Valley. Breakfast is humble but good. I always judge by the fruit salad and they preoare it with fresh fruits ??. A big plus point is the Rooftop terrasse. Nice view and the subsets look super. We had dinner there and it was really tasty. The service is always friendly and they are very helpful.

A place to enjoy and relax
Reviewed By Rolf BIt is a very beautiful area with an old wooden bridge (well rebuild) and several very old farming houses kept in almost original condition. In the Restaurant, you can choose from a variety of very traditional fine dishes and for dessert try the traditional "Merängge" with homemade wiped cream and icecream. It is very relaxing, peaceful and a lot of fresch air. You can also go for a walk in the area for 30 min up to several hours.

We offer two different locations with various accommodation: The Pop-up Lodge currently offers 21 double rooms and 1 single room, divided into the categories Standard, Comfort and Comfort+. The room price also includes breakfast, which is served in the cafeteria of the sports centre. There are also 4 apartments to rent. The facilities of the sports centre can also be used free of charge. This includes the indoor swimming pool, the Alpine Spa and Gym. Depending on the room category, a daily cleaning or only a final cleaning is planned. The Sport Lodge is located in the former staff building of the Hotel Palace. We offer 6 double rooms with a private bathroom & breakfast. We also offer 9 double rooms and 6 single rooms with the bathroom in the corridor. For these rooms there is a lounge with a small self-catering kitchen on the ground floor. In the rooms of the Sport Lodge we offer a final cleaning. Free access to the indoor swimming pool & ice rink in winter is included in the price.

Reviewed By 27paulsHuge clean rooms, comfy new bed, spectacular views. 2 min walk from the station. The hotel was bankrupt and has been reopened by a community organisation, Rooms are basic but confortable. Modern furnishings, classic ie old bathroom but clean and fully functional. Access and a basic breakfast are in the adjacent sports centre lobby and cafe for the time being. Memorable stay. Want to go back and see how it develops. Dont forget to get a swiss tourist discount card.

Reviewed By 708wernerwWe visited this hotel for the second time. The service is still perfect. The breakfast is big and tasty. The rooms are nicely decorated and well maintained. To have a parking lot and a small shopping mall under the same roof is also very handy.

A short but restorative stay
Reviewed By BS4059We planned to visit the hotel in November 2021 but cancelled as the whole family had COVID. The hotel had graciously converted our non-cancellable deposits into vouchers to be used within 1 year. That act in good faith was very much appreciated. When we arrived, there was a bit of a glitch with the package we reserved but it was quickly sorted out and we discovered we have been upgraded from our initial booking. Extra point for yet another generous gesture! To us, the hotel was a bit unexpected from its social media persona. In social media and websites, it is portrayed as a quiet and self-sufficient hotel with restaurants and winery nearby. The winery is within 10 minutes of walking distance but the restaurant (where they offer the wine tasting and dinner package) is a 10 min drive up the mountain on a precarious one-car street! Aside from another restaurant beside the hotel (which apparently do not belong to them...?), visitors must go to Morcote proper for food. Additionally, there was no spa or pool and the garden was quite small to spend the entire day at the property. As the hotel is built on a converted convent, the rooms can also be quite small. Our room is actually very nice with large bathroom and a fire place but no view to speak of. Which was OK as it was made up by the beautiful sitting room and terrace. The hotel would be better as a base for hiking or biking. After an energetic outdoor excursion, the beautifully restored hotel is a perfect oasis to relax before dinner. Overall, we love it. We recommend to join the wine and dine event at the nearby winery when offered. Food was excellent, truly showcasing the wine, and the location was just magical.

Reviewed By armrestdominanceHotel 2B is well located in the old town of Schaffhausen, a shot walk from the main square and shopping street and the same distance from the river and Munot overlooking the town. Our room was huge and recently refurbished. The bathroom and shower were excellent. Nice coffee machine in the room with tea, coffee, water and biscuits provided. We received a complimentary drink and chips and dip during our stay, but there's no breakfast or any other meals. Despite being part of the Tex Mex restaurant downstairs, the rooms aren't noisy. Staff are friendly and English is spoken. The only downside is it's very expensive, as is everything in Switzerland, which is a bit annoying.
