The Alpen Resort is a modern first class hotel with large and quiet rooms; most with a view of the Matterhorn. The hotel is close to the train station and only a 350 meters from the ski-lifts. We also offer an outdoor tennis courts and indoor facilities such as billiard, Ping Pong and Table Tennis. We offer a complementary pickup service from the train station in Zermatt (7am - 9 pm). A nice hotel with a modern touch
Reviewed By prisoncrowI've booked 2 rooms for 4 nights at this hotel from 29 May - 2 June 22 without reading any review from any platforms. I chose this hotel based on its location [ about 350m away from the train station ] and price. I didn't regret my decision. The hotel is super cosy , the furnitures are modern and new plus I get to see the Matterhorn from my balcony [ Room 005 - 1st Floor]. The room is also spacious and I can see the heated pool from my balcony. There are many shops selling food, souveniers and other stuff within walking distance from the hotel. A halal fast food store [ Take It Doner ] is located 1km away and the meals tasted really good. My only complaint is - the pillows are too soft. Other than that, the staff were super nice and friendly. Breakfast was sumptous and tasty. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my relatives and friends.

Offered free drink on arrival . Super continental breakfast . Staff are so friendly and helpful. This was our first two nights on a 10 day train trip around Switzerland. Highly recommended !

Reviewed By Daniel3282The hotel is very modern and the lobby is like an art gallery. The staff at the reception was new and did not have much valid information. Even though we arrived late, there was a line up and it took a while to be checked in. The room was a good size, the phone in the room did not work and as the bed only had one pillow and 2 cushions(which I do not want to use), I went down and requested an extra pillow but I was told they had no spares. Breakfast is served in a beautiful room, but they had all the doors and window closed . It was full of people and very warm. Post Covid, you still want to be a bit cautious. On the good side, they had cold oat milk available.

Reviewed By krispyk16We spent a night at the hotel and were lucky to have enjoyed all the amenities they offered. The bus shuttle to Lugano cbd was a great service. The spa offered several choices such as sauna, Turkish hammam, steamy bath, jacuzzi or indoor pool. The outdoor pool area is just stunning and we loved soaking up the sun in front of the serene lake. Staff were exceptionally professional and helpful. Our room on the 4th floor had a fantastic view of the lake. Definitely a wonderful place to kick back and relax.

Nice hotel
Reviewed By swissdawnMy husband and I stayed here for two nights for our wedding anniversary. We arrived at thurn barnhoff and it was very easy to find the bus that took you to the hotel. We arrived too early for checkin but we’re able to leave our luggage and come back later. Carmine checked us in and this was a fantastic experience. She really is a credit to your hotel. She explained everything about the hotel and told us about things to visit. Our room was in a separate building from the hotel. This was no problem to us but may be worth checking if you have problems with stairs as there was no lift and you did need to put a coat on to go across to the main building. The Room was nice and clean good bed and linen. A nice bag with spa towels and robe no slippers you have to buy these. Down the hall way was a coffee station and water this isn’t in your room. Breakfast was very nice. We ate in the restaurant on one evening the service was very good, the menu not such a large choice . It was nice but we decided not to eat in the hotel on the second night. There was a nice area in the lobby where we sat in an evening and enjoyed a glass of wine. We went down to look at the spa and book some treatments on our first day. Was rather disappointed with the two staff on the desk who really were not helpful or friendly. We came back in the evening to try again and to our surprise found no staff about at all. We used the spa area a nice pool very warm inside and outside there was a lot of chlorine in it we used the saunas and I must say I was amazed at the loose floorboards in there once I lost my footing when it moved and thankfully grabbed my husband rather than the hot coals. For me the spa area was a bit of a let down to the hotel. The hotel is in a lovely area on the lake lots of nice walks. In my opinion if the spa was better it would have been a perfect review.

The restaurants food is below average and the morning breakfast was not good at all. Good location, pricey for the value you get. Look around for other options before you reserve.

Great stay close to train station
Reviewed By tangerine211Stayed here with my aunt. Breakfast was included in the rate. Small balcony with a sitting area for the smokers in your party. Supermarket next door to the property, which is ideal. We had a car that we were able to park in their car park, no additional charge for this. Only down side the car park is small and we got the last space. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Make sure to book a table if you want to eat in the restaurant. As they get busy,they can only take so many tables as they are short staffed as everywhere is nowadays. Food was very good. The Inn is opposite the train station so easy to get onto the train to Zermatt.

The hotel enjoys an beautiful and quiet location above Wilderswil. It offers panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains and of Lake Brienz and features a heated outdoor pool. There is a rich daily breakfast buffet. The Hotel Berghof Amaranth has a large terraced garden with a solar-heated pool (open mid-May to mid-September, weather permitting) and a children’s playground. It takes you a 10- to 15-minute walk to reach the Wilderswil train station, from where you can catch a train to the Jungfrau mountain. Interlaken can easily reached by bus. You can get the free pass at the reception of the Berghof Amaranth. You can park your car for free on site and make use of free Wi-Fi internet access.

Reviewed By korbinianw101My wife and I stayed here on Friday just for the one night as a mini break from the city and to be able to visit Interlaken and the Jungfraujoch region/mountain peak. The nearest bus stop to the hotel was called "Lehngasse" on the bus no. 105 from stand F at Interlaken West train station. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who confirmed our stay and gave us the the keys, we were also given a complimentary free public day travel pass which we weren't expecting, this was great as we visited the town of Interlaken and went down to lake Brienz on the bus. The hotel staff were really helpful and the room had an amazing view from the balcony, the room was on the front face of the hotel and overlooked the whole valley, it was a clean tidy room decorated in the traditional Swiss style, no tea and coffee provided in the room but that didn't really bother us, we ate in the town for dinner and by chance on the way to the town to get some lunch we found a local hotel that served a traditional Swiss cheese fondue. Breakfast in the hotel was good serving a large variety of continental and cooked choices. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it, one other thing to recommend is download an App called SBB mobile, this allows you to plan your public transport down to the last bus stop and covers all of the major train, bus, trams etc, it made travelling so much easier for us. Thank you staff at Hotel Berghof Aramanth, it was a pleasure.
