Large room, a working area, big bathroom; am I really in Europe?

Reviewed By ski&brew

This is a nice hotel room at a reasonable cost. Almost a 5 star but I battle over European standards compared to American standards. The room was large and had a desk area that was comfortable enough to actually work at for more then 10 minutes. Wi-fi was fine. Room very clean. The bathroom is full sized and they had a wash cloth with the linens. The first European bathroom with a wash cloth and enough room in the bathroom to actually move around. Ok, I am American and this room looked more like an American mid class hotel room. Oh, the huge bed (king plus?) was low to the floor which is more common in Europe then in USA. Ask for a room on the street side, the backside of the hotel is up against the train line and even electric trains make noise when they go by. There is parking, no other amenities. I did not partake in breakfast this time. This is my second visit, first was in April 2016.

Motel-Restaurant 13 Etoiles

The Motel-Restaurant 13 Etoiles is well located between Sion and Sierre, in Valais. We are in the charming place of St-Léonard, a little village in the heart of the vineyards and the meadows. From here, you are very close to various hiking paths in summer and from the most important sport and ski resorts in winter. Several activities for families are proposed in the area and very close from the Motel and Restaurant.

I live too close to have tested their bed, but never far enough not to keep tasting their dishes. If you are sensitive not only to the food on your plate, but also about the way they are brought to you, you will find there flavorous food and friendly welcome. And I see it coming, that evening when I will be unable to escape the gravity of their bar... I will then be back to comment on the rooms!

Room with Amazing View

Reviewed By YuvaKanta

We booked Jungfrau Hotel at first didn't know that it's not in the same area. We had to check-in and get the key from Jungfrau Hotel and walk to Alpine Inn. There was no staff at the Alpine Inn, no telephone, if there is any problem we had to send them an email and wait for them to reply. We stayed there for 3 nights and the staff did not refill the amenities (shampoo, bath gel, coffee, tea etc) on the second and third day, we had to email the reception but still the HK staff did not do it until our departure date and 3 emails. The room was quite cold in winter as they used old radiator. The views and the village were amazing, we were on the second floor and had mountain views including Jungfrau from our window. There is a big seating area on the balcony, which I guess would be really nice to sit during summer. The room itself was quite big, clean with all amenities. The second floor has no elevator and we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. After check-out we can leave the luggage at The Jungfrau and go for a little sightseeings before come back for our luggage. Wilderswil is a beautiful village, not far from Interlaken, not busy with tourists, not as expensive and can easily travel to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald or other cities. We had to ask the staff during check-in for the travelling card for the free transportation in the area which they should automatically given us when we paid the city tax.

Motel in residential area

Reviewed By MuskokaCpl2012

My Wife and I spent 1 night during the later part of May 2012. The Motel was not easily found but the local bus driver told us to get aboard and he would drop us at the corner. He did this without accepting a fare. The Motel was clean and the small room comfortable but the hallways are very dark. The breakfast was Ok. Being in a residential area there were no restaurants nearby so it meant a walk into town which was about 15-20 minutes. Be aware that the restaurant menu prices are in Swiss Francs and if you pay in Euros you are not credited with the difference in the currency.
