Amboseli is set on the Kenyan plains with Mt Kilimanjaro as a backdrop in the distance, the park is world-famous for its substantial population of African Elephants which can be seen in herds of over 100 individuals. In particular the large bull elephants have some of the largest tusks in the animal kingdom. Also to be spotted are ample herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and impala, as well as giraffes and warthog. With all this variety you can be sure a healthy population of predators also call Amboseli home. We had an absolutely amazing time and it was a breathtaking and wonderful experience. To be honest I think everybody should do a safari once in their lifetime! And if you can, you should definitely do that with Shoor Travel! Right from the start we have been in contact with Jane, who assisted us in organizing everything. As you can imagine we had a ton of questions, especially as my partner and I (36&32) were travelling with my parents (61&77) and wanted to ensure we have a very smooth trip. Jane was super patient, always very professionell and helpful and really a true angel. We cannot thank her enough. Jane is amazing! We were 6 days on the road with our driver guide John. He was an incredibly awesome, kind and knowledgeable guide, we had so much fun with him and the whole family enjoyed every minute of the tour. He is a really great guy and we appreciate him so very much! Furthermore we were soooo happy about the cozy bus with comfortable seats and pop up roof. We got into one of the Jeeps for the Balloon Safari and... Yes they do look nice and kind of super safari fancy but they are incredibly uncomfortable and everybody was happy to get into "our bus" afterwards. So please please keep those busses. We also added a few extra activities like the mentioned Baloon safari in Masai mara, a boat safari at lake Naivasha, a Massai village Visit and everything was perfectly organized. Furthermore the recommended hotels were simply amazing. We absolutely loved Serena Amboseli lodge and also liked the Lake Naivasha Country Club very much. The booked Kekooro Lodge in Masai Mara was not our favorite, but this has to do with the hotels very poor management and policy regarding drivers and guides, but this is a complete other story and has nothing to do with Shoor travel. To keep a long story short and wrap this up. We can only say THANK YOU Jane, THANK YOU John and thank you shoor travel for a once in a lifetime experience. If we ever have the chance to come to do a Safari again we will definitely book with you!

I used Jemu Mwenda Expeditions last time I was in Kenya 2019. I was travelling on my own and got my own private tour for 2 weeks. If you want something completely genuine and unique, this is the company for you. James is extremely knowledgeable and is clearly very passionate about the animals and the environment. While on tour you won’t just see the incredible sorroundings, you will also learn a lot about how everything connects. We also stayed in sustainable eco-camps as sustainable tourism is something very close to James’ heart. My tour was completely custom tailored to my interests and needs and he definitely understood what kind of experience I was after. I felt safe at all times, and the service was very professional. I can’t recommend it enough. If you want that personal, genuine, almost intimate experience with nature, as well as knowing that you’re doing it in the most sustainable way possible, this is the company to choose.

To anyone looking for a tour operator for your Kenya safari, look no further. Explorer Kenya, Robert, was a true pleasure to work with. At times I felt sorry for him since I've made many changes to our itinerary, but Robert always promptly made adjustments and recommendations where neccecary. All this at the best price I've seen. Therefore, the bitter taste when I had to cancel due to covid situation was even worse. The flexibility Explorer Kenya is what is needed in these strange times. Once I cancelled our trip, the refund had been on my account in less than 2 days. Absolutely amazing. I am so looking forward to the day when we can travel to Kenya worry free and I will most certainly contact Robert, and no one else. Excellent job Explorer Kenya! Thank you!
