not good experience
Reviewed By Aileng Lone of my friends does not eat seafood and when I made reservation i have already specified that . Upon check in i also made sure that the staff understood us as he spoke little english and he is a trainee. Unfortunately the dinner on the first night, their served river fish to my friend, thinking that seafood is only food from the sea so river fish is ok. After we told them that was not the case, they didn't even attempt to replace the food with something else so my friend was left hungry. The next 2 breakfast and 1 dinner, they served less food to my friend as they could not come out with 1 to 1 replacement on the dishes that have seafood. We have been travelling Japan and staying at traditional Ryokan for the past 10 years and this is the first time that we experienced this and this is such a luxurious ryokan . All the ryokan we stayed in will serve other food and it is a 1 to 1 replacement so that the customer will not feel short-changed. another bad experience is we were dining in the dining hall and there were not enough service staff. so we were left waiting for our food. This is also a first that we have never experienced in other ryokan. Lastly when we went out at 4am in the morning for the unkai tour, the carpark was pitch dark but there was no staff standing there to make sure that the guest will not fall down. The ryokan is beautiful but the service is bad. we are amazed because we have never experienced this in all our japan trips. Will never recommend this ryokan for any non-english speaking customers or customers that have special requirement (like my friend)

The Japanese Experience
Reviewed By Kevin MOur family -- including three kids from 10-15 -- stayed for one night over the Japan Golden Week vacation period and thoroughly enjoyed this modern style Japanese Inn. The staff -- particularly the husband and wife who run it -- are very friendly and speak some English. They go to great lengths to explain each ingredient in the meals, are knowledgeable about what to do in the surrounding area, and even offer an evening concert where the staff -- including the husband and wife -- display their musical talents. Being a relatively new inn the facilities are clean and easy to navigate. The hot spring baths were spacious and included both inside and outside bathing. All in all a great introduction to a modern style Japanese ryokan and recommended for non-Japanese travelers interested in exploring a very remote part of central Honshu.

No good surprise but nothing bad
Reviewed By Apple_HKAn average onsen hotel but since we had no high expectation, we did have a comfortable stay anyway. Food was good and interesting - the first time I had beef sashimi and beef sushi. There is a nice lady who speaks some English and her service is very attentive. The place is not a well-know on-sen resort but the water is quite nice. Since we stayed on a Saturday night, the rate we paid is not giving good value for money.

Reviewed By nadesikoyamato初めてクチコミに投稿します。 いつもは必ずクチコミをチェックするのですが今回は違う所から予約したのでノーチェック。ここから悲劇の始まりです。送迎つきのプランだったのですが、まず宿泊日当日の朝7時前に電話がかかってきて何時に到着するのかと。電話に出れなかったらどうすんだよ。あり得ないことに驚きながらも大人な対応。その後宿に到着すると中居とフロントマンが同時に話しかけてくる。あたしゃ聖徳太子じゃないよ。中居の髪の毛はざんばら着物はだらしない汚ならしい。コロナですよ身だしなみは大切です。部屋は古いですが広くて良かったです。温泉は思ったよりトロトロしていない。食事は普通。給仕してくるならお茶くらい入れてほしかったですね。目の前にあるのだから。朝食に行こうかと思ったら催促の電話が｡ホテル旅館で何度も電話もらうのって初めてです。全部宿都合でやられてます。日頃の疲れを癒しに来たのにイライラしっぱなし。とにかく中居の態度が悪い。タメ口どうにかして下さい。色々な所に行きましたがこんなにイライラした旅館は初めてです。もう二度と利用しません。クチコミは必ずチェックした方がいいなと思った旅でした。

露天風呂でお月見
Reviewed By Shiggy129こちらは阿智村でも昼神温泉街ではなく浪合地区にある老舗旅館です。 浪合パークでのお月見の会で満月を堪能した後、旅館に戻り、露天風呂で再び満月を堪能出来ました。 湯温もちょうど良く、ゆったりした時間が過ごせました。 お部屋は和室で古さはありますが、窓から見える川の水が綺麗で朝が気持ち良かったです。 朝食はボリュームがあり、お腹いっぱいになれました。

A nice meal and a nice room
Reviewed By JaysonLOWe booked a room at the top floor in which there was an outdoor bucket onsen. The room was very nice and spacious. We appreciated the meal as we had chosen the best one. There were 14 dishes which were all delicious, especially the seafood hotpot. It is worth the value. The onsen was pretty good and we could see the sea from there. Unfortunately the weather was not so nice. The hotel provided free transfer from Utsumi station. It took about five minutes. However, there is no lift and escalator in Utsumi station so we had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs.
