S. Luca Ice Cream & Olympia Cafe

Called in early on a cold winter night...the cafe looked inviting although I was just after ice cream. The place was busy, lots of happy looking customers in the cafe and in the shop where not only ice cream but also high quality chocolates and other sweet treats were on offer. I can officially confirm that the Xmas pudding flavour and the pistachio flavour ice creams were delicious (no, I did NOT have both merely a lick of my companion's for Tripadvisor reasons!). The staff seemed very pleasant, acknowledging regular customers and waving to small children. NOTE - they actually VEGAN ice cream...well done.

Live locally so have been a number of times. Really good sandwiches, breakfast fair, jacket potatoes, burgers and steak sandwiches. Also started doing really super pies. I haven't got a sweet tooth but the scones are really good. Worth dropping in if you are passing.

Birthday Celebrations at Craigielaw
Having visited the area on many occasions visiting friends
As it was my wife's birthday we decided to celebrate with a meal at this renowned golf clubs restaurant.
The Restaurant must have on of the finest views across the Firth of Fourth in the area situated in the club house with ample seats for large parties up to sixty.
We booked a table for two on a Tuesday evening quite and not to busy
the staff were polite and efficient having presented the menus and orders taken.
After a short wait our meals arrived expertly presented and extremely tasty ordered lamb shank / salmon for our main courses
The sweets were also excellent apple sponge custard and a lemon desert .
Finishing the evening with a bottle of Prosecco no we didn’t drive but stayed in on of the clubs luxury suites we weren't disappointed with the excellent breakfast the next morning.
Come and experience this yourselves

Prestoungrange Gothenburg

The Prestoungrange Gothenburg was established in 1908 and still continues as a bar and restaurant to this date. There is also a microbrewery attached, which produces some of our own real ales served from casks. We have a varied menu that changes regularly as well as an excellent selection of beers, malt whisky and gin. Every Saturday night there is live music in the bar and on the first Sunday of each month we have an open folk music session. Light lunch options are available during the day. Our evening menu is varied and includes many dishes using locally sourced produce.

Thought we'd go for a drive to the coast and found this place right by the sea. I didn't realise how...MoreThank you so much for your kind words. We are delighted that you enjoyed your visit and that you appreciated everything that makes our place quite unique. Be great to see you return. Gurkha Bar and Restaurant

About Gurkha’s"Better to die than be a coward" is the motto of the world-famous Nepalese Gurkha soldiers who are an integral part of the British Army. The potential of these warriors was first realized by the British at the height of their empire-building in the last century. The Victorians identified them as a "martial race", perceiving in them particularly masculine qualities of toughness."If a man says he is not afraid of dying, he is either lying or is a Gurkha." -Sir Sam Manekshaw “There is No safer place to be then with Gurkhas” -Prince Harry

6 pm. Saturday evening. Place was full.......luckily we had booked. Food was fabulous BUT tables were squashed in. We were sitting feet from door where it opened constantly on a cold evening. Customers but also food deliveries. Just beside us the phone shrilled out non stop with orders for take away. There was no chance of conversation!!!!!!!!
Slight difficulties with waiters not quite knowing what was happening. Shame.

Great place to have locally and you forget it does the evening option and BYOB. We were there for my mother in laws 70 and have in the past had other celebrations there. It is great place for kids and adults and the relaxed setting makes it a great place for a catch up and full night. The food and portions are always fantastic and the skewers and kebabs are worth a visit for alone. Service was excellent and friendly.
whether breakfast (awesome), lunch or dinner great family friendly place to visit.

Dined in the restaurant tonight I was pleasantly surprised. It was a frosty Wednesday evening outside but the cosy, comfortable dining room took our minds off this. We all ordered different dishes Hawaian Chicken, steak and ale pie and fish and chips - all fresh and all tasty. Desserts were not needed but enjoyed by us all - sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and a selection of sorbets.
A delightful local (ish) resturant.

Goa

Visited on the recommendation of friends, we ordered online and when the order was complete, we were sent a link to a progress meter which counted down, how long it would take until our order was ready, we went to the restaurant at the appointed time to be told 5 minutes, 20 minutes later we eventually left with our food. Another minor detail, the online app charged us for 4 carrier bags when we were only given 2. It was only 10p, but it is the principle.

I recently visited ordering special fish and chips which was delicious. Assistant was young, pleasant and helpful. However, on second visit ordering a double pepperoni pizza was very disappointing nice thin crispy edge but base was soggy and slimy as well as the cheese being slimy and if that was double pepperoni anything less would have been hunt the pepperoni - won’t order again.

Ocean Side East

Reviewed By nocera1 - Edinburgh, United Kingdom

This seems to be the only place to stop for a coffee in Port Seton which is why is gets away with the dreadful interior. A few paintings for sale on the walls doesn't detract from the awful plastic table covers or the worn wooden seats. Grey paint and chipped walls make it a dreary place which could be so much better with a little cash injection and some TLC.
Coffee was okay and came with a small biscuit. Fruit scone although a good size was rather dry. Girl who served was pleasant enough.
Seems to be a popular place for seniors for lunch but will not be returning.
