Bella Napoli

we went to Bella Napoli as a family, looking for some food. We got the food, bu the pizzas were far from italian. They have quite interesting pizza toppings, from taco sauce to peperoni, but still...a pizza should have some herbs or at least mozzarella...

Peppes Pizza

Reviewed By KenmareLisa - Orlando, Florida

This is a great little eatery centrally located in the shopping plaza. Plenty of tables, roomy and a great family friendly atmosphere. Our server was super friendly and helpful as well as fast! The menu is not VAST, but has many pizzas, a few salads. average pizza runs NOK 280. A bit steep, but we ARE in Norway! I ordered the special Caesar salad with bacon and tomato and chicken, it was HUGE, enough for 2-3 and tasted delicious! Friends ordered a veggie pizza that they said tasted fresh and great! With leftovers for a midnight snack. I highly recommend eating here and would visit again.

Eating out in Norway is expensive enough. Decided to have a glass of wine with lunch .. very small serving ! I don't know why this place is given a high rating . Perhaps it's a different menu at lunch time . Anyway there isn't a lot of choice in Narvik . Unless you want to strangle your wallet !

It was nice to have a taste of pizza that reminded me of home while working overseas. Very good selection and size.

Tind Restaurant

Reviewed By Alessandra P - Genoa, Italy

We stayed at the Rica hotel which accommodate the Tind Restaurant and decided to dine there.
The restaurant (as well as the hotel) is modern and stylish. We had the Artic char and a beef sirloin. The fish was well presented, the portion was abundant.
The meat tender and perfectly cooked.
Unfortunately, we had to wait for a while, but they served a complimentary starter to help us killing the waiting time.
The price was reasonable for the local standards

Trappa

Reviewed By Daniel_Huber - Copenhagen, Denmark

We came to Amalia for lunch as we had some hours layover in Narvik and read all the positive reviews about this restaurant. Our experience was rather sobering. I found the atmosphere of place rather bland with outside speakers and Christmas music being played at the height of summer. The service was moderately okay although a bit at the snappy side. The food itself was fairly okay albeit being too hot and too heavy. However, both of us found hair in our food! When we pointed this out to the waitress, she didn't really seem to mind.

Linken Restaurant og Bar

Linken Restaurant & Bar is situated at the top of the Quality Hotel Grand Royal. Welcome to our "fun dining" restaurant.

Reviewed By ohusby - Trondheim, Norway

I visited Linken with some colleagues, and was tempted by the five course meal. That is, I have to stop after the fourth, the panacotta must wait until later. There was a very skilled and nice waiter on duty that night, perfect recommendations of wine to salmon, rein deer, halibut and cheer (perfect local cheese from Hamarøy!).
And what a view from this 7th floor restaurant - late night, blue skies, green ocean, sun shining!

Totta Bar

Situated on level 16 of the Scandic hotel the bar offers some excellent views but apart from that : most beers are foreign, the Seating and tables could be straight out of ikea.
There is no attempt at atmosphere and unfortunately the drink prices match the view, not the decor.
We didn't eat here but lots of people were and it looked pretty good.

Rallar'n Pub og Kro

A restaurant and bar inspired by the history of Narvik. From the construction of the railroad till the iron ore shipping industry. It looks and feels like you're entering a part of history. A la carte menu at evenings and a nice simple lunch menu till 03.00 PM , a somewhat wide variations of beer and wine.

Reviewed By Peter G - Sydney, Australia

Not too expensive by local standards but the food is very average. I chose a burger and it was a processed piece of meat.
The chips were great though.
I would have preferred a range of local beers to try because the wine is too expensive (normal for here).
To be fair, thus is not a town you come to for a culinary experience, but this place doesn't seem to try.

Caffe Latte

Reviewed By jon w - Ossining, New York

This was the first place we hit when we came to Narvik. Don't let the looks from the outside of the building deceive you! The coffee roaster rep was on the premises training the staff to make good espresso so we had a really nice double espresso our first day. Several of us in our group are kind of espresso geeks and I even roast my own at home, to give perspective here.
This seems to be a standard cafe aside from good coffee. They serve some goodies if you need a light snack and my mates tell me it is good. My second visit was a no go because they decided to cross out the closing time on the window and close early. The third visit I had a average espresso. On the fourth visit I asked the server to pull me a shorter than usual double shot as they had been pulling the shots way too long. She looked at me very confused, so I asked for ristretto shots. She explained the machine was calibrated a certain way. I asked her to just pull the shot cups out early. Bingo! a decent espresso experience once again. I tried some other cafes and this is the one to go to for coffee at this point!
