On our "Etapes du Bon Goût" trip throughout Belgium we tried Zur Post on the 31/3-1/4 weekend. Without really noticing it we had booked an "Gastronomisches Weekend" arrangement, entitling us to the 7 course Prestige Menu, overnight, breakfast and a "light lunch", which happened to be the (other) 3 courses of the Gourmand Menu. So in 1 stay we had the pleasant (and completely unexpected) occasion to taste almost the entire menu card. For 205 EUR per person + drinks: a fantastic price/quality ratio!
Chef Eric Pankert certainly knows the proper skills. He combines the right flavours in contrasting ways (sour, sweet, salt, bitter and umami), with terrific ingredients, just the right portions, short waiting times between courses and served on beautiful and original plates. The service is just perfect. The sommelier makes the proper choices, and he doesn't let your glass stay empty too long.
Our verdict: a place to remember and to go back to!

Had an amazing dinner last night celebrating an anniversary. Pairing great fresh seafood, a few great Burgundies and fresh white truffle directly imported from Tuscany San Miniato.
Presentation was more than perfect with great attention to detail and all is very very inventive.
My favourite place when in Spa Francorchamps

Bastogne isn't easy for eating, since McAuliffe Square is basically set up to fleece tourists. My son & I were on a "Band of Brothers" tour and spent three nights in town, and ate at three separate places, so we got a sense of what's available. Le Grill has some quirky service, and wasn't very crowded, but the food was both delicious and reasonably-priced (far better than the mysteriously popular Wagon Leo around the corner). The food is French in style & offering, but includes many items that will be familiar to an American. You can add value by having one of the "menu" selections that combine a starter, a main dish and a dessert (or sometimes also a selection of cheeses).

When traveling with kids one knows very quickly how the service is : quick, flexible, with a smile, kids first ? And here it was excellent with also a very good cuisine with typical belgian dishes, very well prepared and with fresh / seasonalingredients. I'll be back :-).

We chose this restaurant based on existing tripadvisor reviews, and we were not disappointed! We reserved a table for a rather quiet Thursday evening and went full out by ordering the 5 course Gourmet menu with accompanying wines. We enjoyed every course in our dinner, and overall had a wonderful time.

La Caretta is a small, cosy restaurant with open kitchen.We had a table beside the kitchen and saw preparing the tasty pizza's in front of our nose.We ordered pasta Sicilien, the dish was very tastfull, served with more than enough sauce.Service was good and friendly.We saw passing the grilled meat and the dishes were very atractfull.Next time we come again and we surely give them a try.

My husband and I spent an evening at this restaurant in August 2012. I can attest that this eight course meal (from appetizers through desserts) was the finest meal I've ever eaten. The seared foie gras, veal sweetbread, sauces, etc were each outstanding. The chef (Jean Michel) was very kind and visited with us after dinner. He told us about the history of the area , including the Battle of the Bulge right in the immediate area. I am not the most adventurous eater (my husband even less so), but I am so glad that I strayed out of my comfort zone of typical American fare to try these gourmet items. The wine, bread and desserts were also exceptional. The house-made madeleines were perfect with coffee at the end of the meal. Try the Touring Menu which changes monthly.

Our small cozy Auberge situated at the foot of the castle in Vianden. It is one of the oldest buildings in Vianden and formerly served as a lock smiths. Today, there is a rustic restaurant with 9 modern, newly renovated rooms. We offer specialties from the charcoal grill with selected wines in a cozy atmosphere.

This ended up being an excellent surprise.
We asked for the grilled beef. The qulittu of the meal is outstanding. As side dishes we asked for baked potatoes and salad. Portions are correct. Prices are fair if we consider the quality. Room is nicely decorated. We will return for sure.
