There are actually 4 Exhibitions inside the building: the circuit of Francorchamps, the history of the rich and influentual Principality of Stavelot-Malmedy, the French poet Guillaume Apollinaire and the history of the Knights Templar. The audio guide is free and available in 4 languages. Ancient live music on old instruments inside the museum café. The all-in ticket for 1 person sets you back € 9.5 and should be considered as a real bargain.

Stayed in Stavelot for the European Le Mans Series and visited before heading home. I wasn't aware it existed but it a real gem. Thoroughly well laid out with enough room to get around the vehicles, principally associated with motor racing, but also a 1912 taxi. Well worth seeking out if you are in the area.

We have been to a few Tourist Information offices during our week in the Ardennes. This one was open! (And so was the one with the helpful girl in La Stoumont, but there is nowhere I can find to review it). It is light and bright, with a smiling lady behind the counter, where there are a variety of pamphlets. Others on the walls. A small restaurant is attached, and there is a full-size pink cow (ornamental) in the garden behind.

I attended the 2016 edition with two of my friends and here is the summary of things to do and not do. One has to understand and appreciate that this track is literally in the middle of nowhere. It's near a very small village with narrow lanes. The event has several parking spaces and we had purchased advance parking tickets to avoid confusion. Unfortunately the venue is so complicated and massive that it was very difficult to find our open to air parking lot. I would suggest not to purchase parking in advance as there are many 10-20 euro per day private parking spots which are conveniently located near the entrance. Another thing to remember is that the open air field parking lots are so massive with no landmarks that its easy to forget where you parked as they all look similar. So one has to be really careful about deciding a landmark. We chose to stay in aachen which is in Germany and is a convenient 45 min from the venue. Traveling to and from was not an issue. On the final day we had planned to leave the venue and get to Verviers train station in Belgium which is barely a few miles away. However, the CHAOS of the exit was so bad that we were stuck in our car for nearly 4 hours. We had to call cancel our plans and make alternate plans for the next day. This situation is horrendous with spa and we were not the only ones there were hundreds of cars that were stuck with us. There is a large influx of dutch supporters coming in to support Verstappen and that causes the holland bound highway to jam really bad. Planning an exit out of Verviers train station after the race is not feasible. Plan on staying the night somewhere close perhaps in Verviers itself to avoid going to another location. At the event the food is typical event like. Hot dogs, fries and drinks. It is to say the least very very bad. Merchandise on the contrary is in abundance. We booked the famous Eau Rouge seats and that is the best part of the whole race. Trains are not very frequent from Verviers so check schedule before leaving. The event advertises bus services to Verviers but I never saw a bus during the 4 days??

Have visited this place several times. It's both beautiful and a bit tacky at the same time. The bridge with the flowers over the waterfall is very nice and provides plenty of snapshot opportunities. Some of the restaurants are good (and even one really good) but the amusement park along with some of the fast food restaurants make the area a bit less attractive.

For the energetic, athletic, adventure-seeking tourist, Petit Coo might tick your boxes. Quad bikes, zip lining, paint balling and more are to be found within this complex of hotels, restaurants and tea-rooms. But no fridge magnets, says my wife. The two Waterfalls can be viewed from a platform. If in the area, well worth a visit.

This World War II vintage American half track at the bridge over the river Amblève, leading into Stavelot, marks the spot where one of the bitterest fights of the Battle of the Bulge raged in the winter of 1944. If you have seen Ken Annakin's movie, starring Henry Fonda and Robert Shaw as Colonel Hessler (depicting of course the notorious obersturmbannfuehrer Peiper), you will get an idea what kind of hell the residents of Stavelot had to suffer then. This vehicle is a reminder of what happened here in 1944 and merits a short visit.

This is a memorial wall adjacent to the Stavelot abbey with statues and plaques which mostly commemorate the liberation of Stavelot and the local civilians either killed during the battle or massacred by German troops during the time of the battle. Especially horrific is seeing the names and ages of the children mercilessly killed. It is a well done outdoor street memorial and is worth a quick stop for those visiting the abbey or nearby Battle of the Bulge sites.

It all seems to be fun and exiting but in our experience it was not.
We went there to do there Canoe tour, which seemed to be very exciting and adventurous.
When we arrived we were treated like they didn't like the fact that we came to them.
The staff was very rude and didn't speak any language besides France.
The canoe tour wasn't very fun, the water level was very low, so we were constantly stuck on rocks.
Wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure.
