Just wow. This ice cream place is the bomb. Yes, we waited 30mins on a sunny Sunday to get our ice cream but it didn't matter. The selection of flavors, the consistency of the ice cream and just the taste is divine. From the simple flavors like lemon sorbet, chocolate over to the more funky ones like Hawthorn cheesecake, all of them are superb.

This was by far our favourite meal whilst visiting Copenhagen. Go for the full 5 tasting courses with paired wine, you won’t be disappointed! Every course was delicious and what really made it special was the service. Our waiter was wonderful, very passionate and knowledgable and even gave us a big hug as we left. This makes it into my top 5 meals of all time! Make sure you book in advance as plenty of people were turned away whilst we were dining! No real surprise that they’re fully booked, everything was so delicious. The veal in particular was incredible, thank you Krebsegaarden!

Stopped her for lunch after getting out of the station and it was perfectly delicious. Had the chicken, avocado, and bacon Sandwich which was awesome. My sister, girlfriend, and her brother all loved their meals. They were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The three small tables all have wireless chargers too which was a nice touch, and they were happy to provide answers to any questions we had. Stop here for a quick meal after getting out of the station! Its a must.

The Red Box

Welcome at The Red Box, a modern asian-french fusion restaurant in the heart of Copenhagen with a fashionable situation and a very warm and smiling atmosphere and service. The menus are based on a healty edition of the classic french bistro cuisine with a twist of South-East Asian spices and vegetables. The concept of The Red Box is similar to the best fusion restaurants in New York or San Francisco, reviewers tell us...Our courses are based on the most fresh vegetables, seafood, fish and meat at the market - some of them even organic - and we also are happy to serve you a vegetarian meal.

Superb food and service, as well as excellent value for money.
Nice atmosphere, also attentive and forthcoming waiters throughout the meal.
We started off with two nice appertizers on the house, followed by the "Five from China" for starters, recommended by our host. Reading a review complaining about this starter being flat and uninteresting can only be down to extremely bad luck or paralyzed taste buds. It was the perfect start, with a truly nice variation of flavours, texture and tastes. The mussels topped the five dishes off accompanied by a perfect sauce of lime, ginger, honey and orange.
Next off we had fish of the day, and beef tenderloin with black pepper sauce for mains. Both perfect in taste and texture, and the tenderloin cooked just right for a medium rare.
For desserts we had "From the red box", three different desserts: ice cream with licorice and salt flakes, chocolate cake and ginger creme brulee. The perfect finale to our meal.
Not least, the waiter recommended superb wine pairing for the meal.
This was by far the best meal on our Copenhagen visit. Strongly recommended!

Marv & Ben

We live in a cosy apartment in two floors on the cobbled street Snaregade – one of the oldest streets in Copenhagen, close to the canals. Here, we invite you for Nordic gastronomy, made entirely from scratch and with a true curiosity for new taste experiences and textures. Everything is made from local produce from small-scale producers, and our wine list offers a versatile selection of interesting wines that we ourselves love – biodynamic, organic and conventional wines, as well as natural wine a single glas or full bottle. The previous owner Frederik Hvidt, who has managed the restaurant for 10 years and achieved a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand six years in a row has sold the restaurant to a couple of young and passionated guys who are proud to carry on Marv & Ben, and do it with great respect for Frederik and his team. We look forward to seeing you. David Andersen og Johan Burich-Holck

After spending the past few months, literally eating my way through Copenhagen at what some people would consider the best restaurants in the world, I feel most compelled to write this particular review...
Firstly, I look forward to Marv og Ben's first Michelin star (perhaps I can just add a little placeholder star right here * ... there you go!). I can't wait to celebrate that, hopefully with an excellent glass of Ruinart in hand from the excellent wine selection upstairs.
Secondly, I cannot describe a more deserving crew to earn the utmost recognition for their fantastic food and wine, and most notably, their exceptional service that has be baffled every time (although, they may have just topped it last night)!!
Thank you Johan, Mikkel, and wonderful, generous wine specialist ;) for a most impressive show of excellence!

Small menu, with nothing but burritos , few salads, and basically burritos folded. If you like burritos, they are done well. Cheesecake was a solid 8/10. The downfall of the restaurant was the hostess, and owner, who could not
Help but interfere with customers meals, with tales of her self and America. If you can stand to endure this and enjoy burritos and cheesecake, this is the place for you!

Meyers Bageri

Reviewed By Michael U - Las Vegas, Nevada

Now offered stateside at New York’s Great Northern Food Hall, though the concepts appear to be quite different based on a single visit to each, Meyers Bageri at Gammel Kongevej 103 in Frederiksberg kicked off Wednesday in Copenhagen with five Pastries enjoyed at an outdoor table, the small shop one of no less than five in the Metropolitan Area along with the Madhus and Delis from the same team.
Originally opened in 2010 by Claus Meyer, a founding father of The New Nordic Kitchen Manifesto along with noma’s René Redzepi, Meyer’s Bageri brings the artisan concepts of the movement to the masses by way of Breads and Pastries produced exclusively from Organic Produce and Grains grown in Denmark and surrounding Countries, each bakery open at 07h00 daily to tempt diners with items made of everything from seasonal Fruits to stone-ground Rye and toasted Poppy Seeds.
Baking all items on site at each storefront, no central facility or commissary kitchen sending pre-made goods in each morning, it was with one baker visibly rolling out dough that three guests entered the small space mere moments after opening and allowing the others to go first as choices were debated it was not long before counter was reached, a pleasant young woman bagging the lot only to have it quickly unloaded just a few meters away for tasting, first bites of a Croissant showing it to be a bit more ‘doughy’ than most, though the edge baked up golden-crisp with the rich flavor of butter evenly distributed throughout the interior.
Additionally offering freshly ground Flour and free Sourdough Starters to those who bring their own Jar, an impressive practice considering how closely guarded most American Bakeries keep their secrets until it can be exploited by way of a Cookbook, it was after the Croissant that yet another look was taken at a Poppyseed topped Tebirke, the top layer shattering to the tooth and flaking to the ground with plenty of nuttiness that plays well off the light sweetness of a layer of Remonce.
Moving on to sweeter selections, the same great base as those above used to fashion a tangy Rhubarb “Croissant” and a Custard Spandauer topped in cracked Hazelnuts, both of them still warm and thus only partially set with great egginess amidst the flaky layers, it was finally Meyer’s Cinnamon Roll that shined even brighter than the rest, a heavily kneaded coil even more elastic than the version served in New York showing off with bright spicy notes and a perfect chew to the ‘skin’ not unlike that of a good Bagel.

Luckily, this pastry shop was two blocks from our hotel. We went at 7am when it opened. Unfortunately, not all selections were out yet, but the custard danishes we had were beyond amazing! Best we’ve ever had. I just wish we went about 30 minutes later so we could have sampled other items!
