Westminster Abbey

Stroll the trails of the beautiful monastery grounds or attend mass in the ornate chapel.

We loved the stained glass in the church great opportunity for some beautiful photos . The trails down to the view point were good for any level of fitness . Once you get down to the view point , you have a view of all the farmland of Abbotsford , the fraser river and hatzic . It's amazing how much area you can see . Quite a few people go out there just for a nice walk through the trails . Glad we had visited again it had been awhile .

Cascade Falls

We were looking for a short walk with wonderful views and we found it! Bit of a drive unless you live in Mission but really worth it. It's only about a 10 minute walk up to the viewpoint to see the falls. There were tons of kids climbing the railing and swimming in the pool underneath the Waterfalls despite the many warnings. At the beginning of the walk on the right side there is a small path leading to some calm pools and picnic tables. We enjoyed cooling off our feet in the pools near the picnic table. For such a long drive I would pack a picnic and some camping chairs and make a day of it. Beautiful views we will return to enjoy.

I didn't really know what to expect but we are so happy we went here. It was very cheap for admittance and the whole family enjoyed it, the kids loved all the interactive exhibits. I will return when in the area for sure. We're so glad you stopped by. You're welcome to come back anytime - we even have season's passes if you're interested next time you visit. Hayward Lake Reservoir

At the Powerhouse Visitor Center, we got a scavenger hunt which focused our attention on all the wildlife. We were able to see eagles, evidence of the beavers (chewed trees and the beaver dam) and the highlight was seeing two river otters playing on one portion of the lake. They were popping their heads in and out of the hole in the ice. The visitor center is open as of March 1st. There are plenty of picnic tables along the trail and even a beautiful beach where it looks lovely enough to swim or canoe in the summer. Many more animals were listed on the scavenger hunt, and I'm sure with different seasons, we would see more. I look forward to returning. This was all part of a school field trip for grade five students. I would recommend this for anyone, any age.

Rolley Lake Provincial Park

Reviewed By lastingmemory - British Columbia, Canada

We have gone here to have a picnic, fish a little and caught some small trout, just relaxed on a small beach area. Sheltered lake, not windy, a little muddy bottom but children can have a nice time in shallow water. Very picture's lake, hiking trail around and safe. Small distance to travel to the lake on gravel but okay, nice for 4-5hrs, adequate parking. Nice place for tenting also. People keep dogs tied up or on a leash! On the way to Stave Lake Park and dam. We will go back. Softbeaches.

This raceway is set up and organized extremely well. Cars are lined up and ready to race. The jet cars and wheel standers are my favourite. The night races are exceptional. Great place to spend the day or night with the family or a date night.

The Reptile Guy

Reviewed By Sarahjh1974 - Elmira, Canada

Our guide spent as much time as needed at every reptile - allowing the kids (and adults) to ask as many questions as they wanted...allowing kids to touch or hold reptiles safely. We had a great time and would recommend The Reptile Guy to Mission visitors. The place is small, but don't let that deter you...kids had a blast...spent over two hours going through all the reptiles.

We visited the park on the children's festival Sunday with family. The park is large and beautifully kept. The event had food trucks and adequate restrooms. Typical city park good for kids and adults doing all sorts of activities. Good for walking your dog as well.

Ferncliff Gardens

Reviewed By Skwiki - Vancouver

This garden is only open for a short time each year . Basically from mid August to the end of September . Anyone who loves flowers would enjoy this spot. The family who runs the farm are very friendly and will answer any questions you have . One year we wandered onto their private property and instead of chasing us off they told us the history of their business . They do sell bulbs also but the attraction for us is the row upon row of dahlias . There are so many varieties and they have developed quite a few varieties themselves . Almost every colour is represented . It's a great destination to test out your photography skills. Watch for bees as they are everywhere !
