A great mix of tradition with modern! A variety of dishes to cover the most difficult taste! Food fresh and interestinf. The setting is warm, the service is friendly.
When out in a city that mainly caters for students it's good to know that one can have a descent meal at a reasonable price.
Special thank you to Aris, the owner, for his welcoming attitude.
A definite must if visiting Ioannina!

Our restaurant, is situated in the center of Zagori, in the village of Kipi.Our restaurant, "Margarites" is an impressive three-storied building with a unique yard which includes a bar for the summer period, is located very close to our hotel (Kipi aggelon), in the main street that crosses the village.

While strolling around central Zagorochoria area (I understand that the name “Zagori” is Slavic and means “beyond the mountains”), we spotted this country style restaurant, like a hidden surprise in the middle of the Mountains and we decided to stop here to have our lunch. It proved to be a good decision. Nice interiors/decorations, friendly owners and good food. At the end the price came of medium level.
While in the area, a visit to this premises is suggested.

Hard to believe the to notch reviews... They are true!
The tyropita (cheese pie) is the best we had yet in Greece. Made in thin crispy dough with light goat cheese - magnificent!
The gigantes (beens with greens from the oven) are grand and very different from the traditional ones - even better.
The lamb, salads very good again.
Equally special is Virgina's charming service and attention to guests.
Make the trip to this taverna to enjoy a great dinner!

This place is not to be missed. Where do I start? The view is absolutely breathtaking , the food excellent and the service superb. Order the steak!! The hotel is also spotless and very comfy. Highly recommend!!

We own the traditional restaurant "astra". You can find it in a beautiful place with a great view at the Mountains. We are picking up our ingredients at the terraces around which are cultivated with organic vegetables. Fresh zucchinis, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuces, but also feta cheese or yellow hard cheese by the animals their parents are elevating. Our cooking is based on traditional local recipes always prepared with fresh and tasty ingredients!!!!!

The brothers running this lovely place are serious about their produce, some of which they also sell to take away. The food is excellent, with emphasis on greenery, mushrooms and beautifully grilled meats and fish (the trout is a must). The ambience is lovely, and the service immaculate. One of the major pluses here is also the wine list. It is surprising that many other places in the area only serve wine out of the barrel (just one kind, cheap-&-cheerful house wine) but Astra offers a small selection of excellent bottled wines from around Greece, which makes a huge difference to the quality of the meal. Highly recommended.

It was cosy but very crowded because i think it was Christmas period.Excellent dishes of salad and local cheeses.Must to taste the chicken kontosouvli but we find the pork kontosouvli a little bit hard. Excellent service by their friendly staff and decent prices.

Have just left the place, today 2nd of November.
We have arrived at Lichnos approximately at 16:00.
Mr. Takis and his partner were polite and very welcoming.
We have ordered one portion of chips, 1 capuccino and 1 frape.
A while later we have ordered 1 village salad, 1 galotiri, 2 grilled fillet chicken, 1 pork chop and 1 tsipuro (50ml). We have paid 50 euros.
Food has been surprisingly tasteful and well cooked.
If we ever visit Dilofo we definitely know the right place to eat.
