Not to be missed if at all interested in archaeology. A large site, still being explored. A guide book recommended an hour and a half to get around the site, but our experience was that if you wanted to see as much as possible, you could easily take twice as long.
The ground is pretty rough underfoot in places and not great for people with walking problems. Good footwear is essential, as is a hat of some sort in hot Sunshine.
There is good wheelchair access to parts of the site but not to everything.
Well worth the 5 Euro entrance fee.

Having visited motor museums around the world this is one definitely worth going to. It is a smaller one but has an excellent collection of various types of vehicles and associated equipment all in very good condition. A lot of time and money has been spent on this Promenade. It stretches along the seafront with loads of features and interesting viewing points. We walked along and stopped at a couple of watering points to take in the atmosphere and pleasant areas which have been created.
Well done Limassol council we thoroughly enjoyed it...

Wandered down here after visiting the archeological site. Being a very windy day the wind surfers ?♀️ were enjoying perfect conditions. We sat at one of the restaurants having lunch sucking up the atmosphere and watching the surfers thrashing along at breakneck speed...brilliant!!

Omodos is a great small village in the mountainous central region of Cyprus, although it's not a far drive from Limassol. The town is definitely geared towards tourists, and there's even a steady stream of tour busses that come through. Still, the many tavernas in town definitely seem legit. And it's a lot of fun to wander around the narrow winding roads, and just seeing what shops you come across. If you don't stay to eat, you could still easily spend 2-3 hours just wandering around and visiting shops. With lunch, I would expect to spend at least a half-day here.
The Church of the Holy Cross is very interesting to visit, but it's too bad that they don't allow you to take pictures inside, as there are quite a few religious/historical artifacts to see.
The one disappointment for me was George's Bakery. This is often listed as a "must-visit" in Omodos. However, when I went, it was an extremely high-pressure sales pitch. And a woman followed me around as I wanted to browse, making me feel very uncomfortable. I really felt like they wanted me to just come in and tell them what I want, then leave. When I first got there, I tried a sample from one of the several trays they had out front. A woman immediately appeared asking if I wanted to buy some of it or something else, before I even had a chance to really taste what I had put in my mouth. It was really off-putting.

Clearly the Russians and Chinese have moved in although I’m sure other nationalities are well represented!!!
A very pleasant area to explore, well designed areas of shops and restaurants and not as expensive as I thought it would be.
Close to the Old Town of Limassol so right on the tourist route.
We had lunch here and enjoyed the buzz.

Went with 3 couples and kids and teenagers. Had a fun day, going down the various water slides, getting drenched by the tipping bucket and having fun in the wave pool. The kids and teen agers had fun, there are numerous things for them to do, walking a rope across a pool, climbing up an inflated ball, we all had a good day out, it broke up the holiday from the normal boring sight seeing and vegetating by the beach. You are not permitted to bring any food or drink in. The on site catering establishments are not the cheapest or the best. I had a dehydrated burger for lunch with overcooked fries and a salad that had been prepared 2 days prior, so the food is nothing to write home about. Get there early as they close late afternoon, so make the most of the day and your money, it will also be easier to find a good sun bed as it fills up quickly. You also need to bring your own towels. A photographer goes round and takes pictures all day that you can buy as you are leaving as a memory. Could not see any night lighting,probably why they close early. There are loads of life guards and the grown ups had as much fund as the kids - going down the slide trying to act all grown up while actually screaming inside like a little girl haha it was a fun day.

The Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates, worshiped at the site from the 8th century BC, is small but well worth a visit.
Here you will see the ruins of a temple to Apollo (the god of the woodlands), a dormitory and bathhouse etc. With the help of funding part of the temple has been reconstructed and you can now imagine how the whole temple once looked. It also makes you feel really small when you look up at it and marvel at just how they built these huge temples in those times without our modern day equipment.
Walking along the pathway called the sacred way to the temple makes you feel like you were a pilgrim of Apollo and you get a real sense of the areas importance as people would have stayed here, bathed in the local baths and then worshipped Apollo at the temple.
My one quibble about the site though is that they do need to sort out their descriptive plaques as some are faded and unreadable and then in some areas there are none at all.
We spent about an hour there and it was empty when we visited which was nice as it was really tranquil and allowed us to soak up the atmosphere plus take our photos of the site. I have been told through that it gets very busy there when tour busses visit the site.
It’s a nice place to go on a sunny day and I would recommend a visit as we had a very enjoyable time there.
If going in the late spring and summer months though I would recommend taking some sun cream and water as there is not much shade and there is no shop at this site.

Arrived about 18.15hrs Sat outside in open-air for a relaxing chat with friends and was treated to some wonderful Xmas songs from school children for more than 30mins. Then went into the main restaurant for a very nice meal. The service was excellent. The food very well presented and the staff very helpful. Certainly will visit again. Well done Columbia Plaza.

Not much there, but only €5 for adults so not to expect much. Some animals, birds, reptiles. Even in February there is a refreshment place with a few souvenirs and there are toilets.
