It was very quiet on a Sunday night, so we didn't have to reserve a table. We decide to sit at a table, not at the counter - for teppanyaki.
The male table attendant was friendly and enjoyed chatting with us, explaining everything well. The menu we received was only in Japanese, with a few pictures ... so, I don't think they have an English menu.
The Oxtail soup was excellent with a deep, subtle taste and a big chunk of tender meat - almost a meal in itself. Each main meal is served with soup (a smaller version on the oxtail soup) and rice or bread. The portions of beef were very good and thick; and they were slightly over-cooked - we had asked for "medium-rare", but there was no blood, so it was more like "medium". Each steak was served with a few cooked veggies on the side (could have been a little more) and a small piece of deep-fried banana, which was interesting (it wasn't sweet, at all). The local Saga rice was also a little dry but, that's typical of such places ... you come here to eat beef, not rice.
Imari beef has quite a simple taste as compared to Hida; Omi or Yonezawa Beef ... but, it was still thick and succulent. I'm glad we tried it ...

Just exit JR Imari station (tourist information side) and turn right, walk to the junction, cross the road, and after walk straight a little bit you would find this nice small restaurant, Sakaki (written in Hiragana Japanese as さかき)
The woman shopkeeper was so nice, even the menu's most text was Japanese, you can easily browse by the picture/food mock up in front of the store. The toilet there was so clean and surprisingly hi-technology! The fried tofu in food set was so delicious without any bad smell of soy. I tried the rare grill beef with big portion of onion on the top, and it was so delicious with the nice little smell of sake (if I corrected).

初めて利用しました。平日の7時半頃でしたが、既に満席で10分程待ちました。案内された座敷は、６人でもゆったり座れる広さです。お勧めの一番定食をオーダー。すぐに焼き用の鶏肉と名物の鳥めし、スープが出てきました。鶏肉は、テーブルのコンロで焼きます。柔らかく、臭みもなく、とても美味しい。鳥めしもピラフのような感じです。鳥づくしの料理ですが、とても美味しかったです。

以前、伊万里牛ハンバーグを食べたら、美味しかったので立ち寄りました。再訪です。９８０円のハンバーグランチをいただきましたが、とても美味しかったです。スープとサラダ、ライスつきの値段です。

一階カウンターで頂く際は、おかみさんが目の前で揚げてくれて、感激です。食材もよく、扱いもしっかりしていて、これが日本のグルメだよなぁと思わせてくれます。天ぷら以外にも、食べ応えのあるチキンソテーなどもオススメです。

This chain restaurant is very near Imari train station and I was looking for a quick bite!
I opted for a beef and avocado donburi with miso soup and pickles for 1100 yen and an apple pie with vanilla ice cream for 450 yen. Both tasted great! I wish you could get quality fast food like this in Europe!
Service was fast and friendly. Just ring the bell at the table. No English menu, but plenty of pictures, so no problem ordering.

伊万里にこんなお店がオープンしていたとは思っていなかった。雰囲気は素晴らしいもの。団体なので部屋は個室。カウンタ席がありますが、ほとんどが個室を提供してくれるようです。今までが伊万里で団体客だと夜の時間帯に訪問できる雰囲気がいいお店は、ほんの数えられる程度しかない。通常のメニューの他に日替わりメニューもある。
ここのハンバーグは予想外にかなり美味しいもの。肉の味もだが味付けがいい。豚の角煮は豚肉が苦手な私でも美味しく頂けた一品。これもまたいい味付けで非常に美味しく頂ける。帆立のガーリック炒めはガーリックの味はそこそこに抑えられており、帆立が柔らかくてこれも美味しく頂ける一品。という事で料理に関しては非常に満足できるもの。
一服するために部屋を出て喫煙スペースがある中庭へ。中庭も雰囲気がよく、中庭が見る部屋もあり伊万里では珍しいお店ではある。そこそこ予算はかかるお店ではありますが、こういう正月などで親族が集まる機会に利用するお店としては非常にいいお店だと思いました。

伊万里駅から徒歩３分程。こじんまりとしたフレンチのお店です。簡単なコース(プリフィックス)もありますが、単品も充実しています。宿泊したホテルの紹介で利用しましたが、期待を大きく上回る美味しさとボリュームと雰囲気。失礼ですが、伊万里でこのレベルの料理を頂けて幸せな限りです。飲み物も色々とありますので。私は単品との組み合わせで楽しみました。
