This is a lovely restaurant and centrally located. The food is good value however on our visit the sauces (on a chicken and a llama dish) were thick and artificial which degraded an otherwise reasonable pair of dishes. House wine was good value, the bottles seemed a little expensive.

The place, a small and unpretentious restaurant, does not tell what it really has, a very nice regional cuisine. The guisados, empanadas and cordero were excelent. Enjoy one of the best places at Humauaca. And then go back to Purmamarca for a nice evening.

We had dinner at K’allapurca on a very quiet night. There was no band playing Andean music although it is advertised in their flyers, but this may happen in the weekends. We loved the food. The empanadas were very tasty. My husband had the llama which he claimed was perfectly cooked, while I, being a vegetarian, enjoyed a quinoa dish. There were several vegetarian dishes, which is unusual in this region. They had a wine sale that night so we ended up with a great bottle of Malbec for a fraction of its cost. Service was attentive and very professional. And this is the only restaurant accepting credit and debit cards in Humahuaca. In all, highly recommended.

Great value for the money. Super starter with marinated llama and tasty local Locre soup with meat.
Large dishes.
Always good Salta beer sightly more expensive than in other places. 80 vs 65 pesos per liter.
Kind service, quite slow but for a good dinner you may want to wait.
5 stars.

The empanadas here were delicious, and they have great takeaway deals on them as well. However, this is not a 'fast food' place - it's a well-run restaurant with a great variety of dishes and affordable wine and coffee, too. Everyone's food looked delicious when we peeked at other plates as well!

Short of time I was looking for a take away, and found this great solution.
They open at about 12:30, you clearly understand that it must be good because there is a queue of locals already waiting there to get the take away.
It is simple local food, the selection is good, to go or to stay. There are a few seats to eat there. They microwave the food for you and have plastic cutlery and napkins. Everything look good and taste good, the prices are for take away but the quality is way better than most of the pretentious restaurants.
Highly recommended, and off the beaten track of tourist coaches....
It does not matter if you do not speak any Spanish,.... point with your finger...

This small restaurant is a slightly longer walk from the coach parking. It has a chilled atmosphere and helpful staff.
We had the set menu with delicious fresh empansdas (stuffed full of flavoursome fillings and with perfect pastry), llama stew and cream caramel for 150 pesos.
Free WiFi was an added bonus.
