Amazing 5 course dinner experience costing 130 euros with drinks included for 2 diners. Salmon layered with fresh prawn in filo pastry; spiced pumpkin soup with bursts of flavour; succulent fish; chicken with mozzarella and finally apple crumble tart- all delicious. Cosy living room setting with attentive hosts. Lovely evening.

First visit to the restaurant and the food and service wes excellent . I would recommend you book to save disappointment . The restaurant is quite small and packed out with people waiting for tables . Steak pie and the baby back ribs was fantastic but portions could have been smaller with no complaints .

We are usual customers of Xerem every summer. The quality of the food continues above average. However, the service was not good, it took too long for the order to come (>40min to starters... more 30min for main plate and then almost 30min waiting for dessert)

They have refurbished and it looks really nice. Food is as good as ever and we visit regularly. It is difficult to get a table in the summer so go early!! You can't book so first come first served. There is a nice bar over the road where you can wait for a table if necessary.

Called into O Pote (Ferreiras) for lunch, lovely place, full of locals. Reminded me of the great Cafés from years ago, before they all went freezer/microwave crazy. Traditional, family run, big plates, no frills, great choice menu and a fridge full of Homemade Desserts to pick from. Be prepared to share your table.
Suckling Pig and Black Pork, really tasty. Lovely people, very patient with my pigeon Portuguese and very nice coffee. Good, honest fare served in great time by friendly, hardworking family. They came over twice to make sure we were happy, even though it was busy, not often seen in a café. Not much English spoken, but to me that's just as it should be.
We'll be back, many times. Loved it.

Yummy with a capital Y! Saw this place while on the tourist road train and it looked very classy and was obviously very popular. With very good reason! The selection of cakes, pastries and gateaux was a picture to behold. The hardest thing was deciding what to have. We visited twice during our day in Albufeira and can’t praise it highly enough. The gateau melts in the mouth and the pastries were simply divine. Definitely would visit again.

Was in Albuferia with friends and went to this restaurant, some of our friends had been before so it was highly recommended. This small restaurant is very old fashioned however do not be fooled or disapointed the food is excellent and so are the Chef and his staff. There is a great atmosphere inside and nothing is too much bother for the team. We didnt bother with starters as we heard the steaks & plates were huge and they were. This is one of the best Fillet Steaks i have ever tasted, seasoned and cooked (medium) to perfection wich chips, mushrooms, rice and salad. I did not take any sauce (pepper etc) i like a steak to stand on its own and it did. I will return to Farnels if ever back in Albuferia and will recommend to others, thanks mmm.

Found this place by accident. Well worth it great service, great food. And reasonably priced. Shame we were the only people there. So many people probably miss out. The tikka massala sauce was the best ever. Such great and attentive staff and very friendly . A must visit when you are in Albufeira. Thankyou very much.

I don't usually give 5 stars as there is always some room for improvement but this is the exception.
The food is really good and reasonably priced but what brings it up to 5 stars for me is the proprietor, Jay. She manages to make every guest feel like a valued old friend. It makes a big difference. and a complimentary drink at the end too!
The only minus is that it is cash only but that's OK as long as you know in advance so not worth knocking off that 5th. star.
