We came for a romantic dinner.
We were sitted on the same table with 3 loud local guys.
There is no English menu.
The waiter translaed some of it.
You can have Donkey, horse, rabbit, pork and veal
Chease plater was nice.
Polenta was good.

The location is peaceful and perfect for a summer lunch - the food is amazing, top quality. The cheese and ham platters, and then some tasty pork cheeks, very soft and tender and tasteful meat, accompanied by potatoes and mushroom. Polenta and gorgonzola cheese - a traditional dish. And then a lovely tiramisú. Will definitely go back.

What a beautiful and peaceful place lovely view on to Lake Lugano The risotto with beetroot was simply divine ! very friendly staff the owner is also the chef .Well selected wine list!

Quite a large place, well suited to group gatherings. Huge selection of both cooked and raw dishes. All pretty standard and generic with any particular flair. The toro was pretty good and not easy to find. Eel also tasty. Tempura dishes were light and crispy. The a la carte dishes tend to be a bit better than the 'selections' or the 'boats' and the prices are very reasonable.
Good selection of popular Japanese beers and some saki.
Slightly annoyed they didn't bring a fork for my 3 year old without having to ask for it.

huge oval shaped tasty pizzas to get there. Do not order an primi piatti:-)
lovely located on top of the village with a stunning view down to the Lugano lake.
staff is friendly, beside pizza are a few secondi piatti dishes and few salad variations. Atmosphere is nothing special but the balcony and its view compensate it fully.

This is probably the only real good and authentic place for Thai food in Southern Switzerland. It's a take-away but you can also eat there. The hot sauces are really HOT and sooo tasty (homemade obviously!). Fresh food from Thailand is brought in every Thursday so everything you eat there is fresh and authentic, cooked by professional Thais. Their homepage is www.cucinathai.ch, where you can find all info - if you speak Italian. Otherwise just go and try it out. If you love exotic food, you will be delighted!

On my way back to Holland I stayed for 1 night in Ponte Tresa and had dinner at Ristorante San Michel.
We arrived quite late. First impression was not good. Many guests were already enjoying their Deserts and they looked like cheap ice scoped on a plate. The restauarant looks outdated, somewhere stuck in the '80's, pffff I guess we'll survive.
Boy were we wrong.
We took a salad, how exciting can it get? This one was really good. Full taste and lots of variety.
Main course was risotto with Ossobuco. Amazing. Wonderful and realy tasty. They had excellent wine which suited our courses perfectly.
We had a wonderful time and can recommend this place to everybody. When I am in the area, I know exactly where to go.

Excellent steak served on a hot stone so you can cook it to your liking. Right on the lake with a grassy area where kids can run around a bit before or after your meal.

We stop for dinner and were not disappointed. Food was very good, the location on a roundabout on the way to Ponte Tresa maybe is not inviting but do make a stop. Parking on site for a few cars and we enjoyed wonderful food and wine.
