We are a located on the main road of Anaxos between the roads that lead to the beach & next to Costas Car Rental. We had a lovely evening with Alyson, Kostas and the team here during our stay and the food and service was delightful. Beautiful authentic Moussaka and all the choices made were excellent. Well cooked and well presented.
We also chose Race Night raising money for good causes that added to the fun and enjoyment

Located on the road across from Billy’s Rentals that goes down to the beach, Elli’s Taverna is well marked with signs that announce it’s family owned, the food is homemade, and the prices are good. It’s all true! The prices are the lowest we saw in Anaxos, and the quality and quantity of the food are quite good. Main dishes cost about 5 Euros. We had saganaki, salad, mousaka, and rotisserie chicken. All was delicious.

We visited Elli's again this holiday. The bread that Papa makes is wonderful and the steak is lovely. The medium sweet red wine is like pop and goes down a treat. We enjoy our visits to Elli's and look forward to seeing the family again next year.

Right at the end of the beach and quite unassuming Aggelos has a good selection of local and wider dishes and prepares and serves them all to a high standard. I asked for a recommendation and was suggested the roasted lamb with Garlic which was cooked to melt in the mouth perfection. All the family loved their choices and service was with a very broad smile and a great deal of interest in where we were from and how we enjoyed our stay in Anaxos.

I have eaten in the Einai several times over the years and have always been well looked after but something has definitely changed this year .
I ordered starters of kalamaris and fried courgettes to share to be followed by sardines and my other half ordered the moussaka.
The squid arrived whole with chips and salad , far too much for a starter, it was a main course, it was overcooked on the tentacles and the rest was almost raw the courgette was fried in a very very thick stodgy batter so thick that the courgette inside wasn't cooked at all .
Sardines were small and overcooked so I couldn't pull the spine out , full of bones , moussaka was just plain inedible!!!
In all of my six visits to Anaxos I had never had a bad meal anywhere but the Einai has certainly changed that , will not be returning .
The cats were happy with the fish but they were the only ones to be so.

we have eaten here a few times and always enjoyed it , unfortunately this time because the restaurant was busy with only a few spare tables we were totally ignored and after standing for several mins we decided to leave one member of staff even pointed to the way out. Shame we cant comment on the food.

Out on the road to Petra it is sometimes a little quiet. The food however is not to be missed. Some of the dishes are done a little different to other main Greek dishes but the end result is great. The American style (with a Greek 'finishing touch') home-made burgers, pizzas and salads are honestly the best I've ever tasted! Debby really masters all these cooking disciplines! Big portions. The beach in front of Casa de Athena is truely wonderful (cosy, clean, comfortable sunbeds and an breathtaking view) and has free sunbeds for customers. Dimitros is an exeptional friendly and good host and his wife Debby a very sweet lady. They made us feel more than welcome every time! Also one of the few places where free Wifi really works.

The taverns is run by George and his wife Melena assisted by another George.
They have a great spot along the beach with the view out to sea at sunset absolutely brilliant.
The two George's are great hosts always up for a laugh. It is a great place for a late night drink.
The food served is great having tasted quite a few things on the menu I can say it.
The fried courgette are delicious but then again I cannot single out any dish they are all good.
I am not a sunworshipper but use George's sunbeds for a day and you can enjoy not only the sun but good banter as well from the staff, lunchtime at the table. I suggest a meze taken over at least 2hours.
Depending on the time you go try an evening meal to coincide with the sunset.

Best food in Anaxos. All the dishes are beautifully prepared by Tony and service buy Frank and Stephoula is excellent.
All dishes are fresh and flavoursome with great ingredients and lovely touches. I recommend the lamb shank and the fisherman's basket, but you would not be disappointed with any dish in any course.
We ate here four times and each time was special
A must visit if you're staying in Anaxos or locally round Petra or Molyvos
