Beautiful hotel for a relaxing weekend
Reviewed By travidyHave just spent a weekend at Hotel de campo and had an amazing time. It is a perfect place to get a feel for the Uruguayan countryside and is only 2 hours from Montevideo. I spent the weekend with my partner staying in one of the hotels double rooms. The room was simple but very clean and comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor and had a wonderful view over the countryside. Great for sunrise photos. There was air conditioning in our room but we preferred to sleep with the window open as there was a mosquito screen. We ate all our meals at the hotel and they were all excellent. Good countryside food. The breakfast was particularly good. Better than most expensive hotels I've stayed in. The home backed bread and cookies were a treat. The hotel was busy but we hardly noticed as the grounds are so huge. They have everything; a huge pool, HORSE RIDING, archery and shooting range, volley ball court, football field, kids play area, hammocks to relax in, animals for the kids. We were even lucky enough to have a glass of wine around the campfire one night. We didn't have any complaints at all. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place. Especially for people wanting to get a taste of the real Uruguay.

Reviewed By cba22016Lindas cabañas con lo necesario para pasar una buena estadía, el dueño y su familia muy amables y atentos, lugar tranquilo y cerca de la playa y del centro de La Paloma. A media cuadra hay un pequeño centro comercial donde encontrar todo lo necesario para el día a día. Lo primero que debería comentar es que permiten mascotas, para nosotros eso fue determinante para la elección. Sin dudas lo recomiendo y en algún momento volveremos.

Lugar de tranquilidad
Reviewed By Mariana EAlejado del mar, pero un lugar muy tranquilo y agradable. Con estufa a leña en la habitación, la leña la proveen en el establecimiento, kitchenette bien equipada que posibilita el descanso sin necesidad de salir a comer fuera. Fue una salida de fin de semana muy disfrutable. Buena atención del personal.

Not to mention that the hosts are so incredibly kind and more than willing to go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and to help you enjoy. I wholeheartedly recommend this estancia to anyone who wants to get away from city life a bit!

Reviewed By maria mThis small, peaceful restaurant is situated not far from the town of Minas in Uruguay. Location among the hills is beautiful. Road is a 'dirt road', topical of countryside but in good conditions. The building particular arquitectura match very well with the entourage. We had tea and coffee with traditional 'alfajores' ( a sort of biscuits filled with creamy caramel and rolled on coconut) Nice experience. We enjoyed everything.

Reviewed By ChelseaD222Our family of 5 absolutely loved our stay at Anaconda Club! The grounds are beautiful and there is so much space for the kids to run around outside. The 2 playgrounds and huge pool we’re a big hit too! The bungalow was very comfortable, hot water and very nice to have the upstairs for the kids while the parents had their own space below. Highly recommend for any family coming to La Paloma!!!

All I can say is WOW!
Reviewed By alisoncm-KWe arrived with limited spanish and a bit of trepidation given my lack of experience on a horse. What followed was one of the best home stay experiences I have ever had. This place is deep in gaucho country and offers guests a remarkable opportunity to experience life on a Uruguayan ranch. I will never forget watching Pedro on horseback comand his dogs to round up cattle, and the joy of feeling increasingly comfortable on a horse as we crossed beautiful country in search of cattle and sheep. Maria, his wife, was as welcoming as could be and fed us wonderful traditional goucho food. The day we departed (quite the drive itself across pastures, etc.), there were four small owls standing sentry on posts at one of the pasture gates...as if saying goodbye to this remarkable experience.

Reviewed By DohanyWe returned to Martin Pescador in Feb 2020. We cannot say enough about the lovely setting, the food, accommodations and the hospitality. Now they even have a wide selection of dirt bikes for anyone who is not a horse rider. I definitely recommend this ranch
