Drinks and meal with friends here last week - place ideally located on the Strand , Tauranga - good place for after work drinks and a meal . Good range of locally brewed and international beers and on tap. Good wine list again local and international. We ate main meals here - good service - good proportioned meals and food cooked well. - No complaints there - good selection of choices , tapas,platters,entrees'mains & desserts. Even something for the GF's & vegans. Enjoyed our first visit to the Phoenix- will not rush back in a heartbeat - but would certainly be back for a drink and a catch with friends.Hi mccdzyne, Thank You for your review. Iâm regularly customer from grind cafe a long time , and usually been catch up with friend for coffee . recently my friend just told me grind is changing owner , I was afraid and worry at first point that the food and coffee will be different , but it is not .food and coffee is great that make me happy . Arrived here mid week for lunch, without reservations, and found service and food consistently good. I had chicken sandwich/burger and partner had a brisket burger that was currently on special. Food was good, didnât have to wait too long and service was good. Menu has good choices and we find it well worth trying for lunch or dinner. Will be returning!

This used to be one of the top restaurants (IMO) in Tauranga and we recently visited based on past experience. The table service was really poor we wondered if maybe this had become a training ground for graduates to hospitality, as some of the wait staff had absolutely no clues. The food itself was very ordinary and we were really disappointed that Tauranga had lost what was once a special place.

Four of us came for lunch today & even with an unfortunate incident where the manager had to take someone to hospital, the restaurant continued to operate with little if any inconvenience to guests, sure we had a little longer wait for our orders to be taken but as we were a group with plenty of catching up to do this wasn't a problem. All of us enjoyed our meals - very tasty! The waitress was friendly, we appreciated her letting us know what was happening, & overall the service was up there.

Id been for dinner before and it was fine I took mum for lunch over my holiday break ordered the Asian pork and prawn salad it was so Unfresh the greens were not crisp it was just old the pork was dry and super chewy and the prawns were so so dry and rubbery like they had been microwaved never had such terrible prawns in my life Mum had chicken salad the salad wasnât fresh Mum chicken was poached or something as it was so dry and very sparse for what we paid it ruined a special day for us $70 for food that was awful to eat.

Latitude is a large bar/restaurant which caters for a variety of age groups. It is warm in the winter with the fires going and on a Sunday there is always live music in the afternoon along with Happy Hour (4-6 usually). The menu provides a nice selection and since Iâve eaten there several times with others I can say that the food hasnât disappointed. I really enjoy the salmon salad! If you like to watch live sport there are at least 3-4 TV screens for choice.Good ambience and attentive staff.

Wandered in this place by accident but was so glad we did. We were only in the area for a few days but we returned twice it was so good. Quality coffee, top rate service and delicious food. The prawn salad was excellent but the wholemeal coffee and caramel slice was exceptional. The whole experience here is wonderful from the moment you walk in the door. The food is great and plentiful. The service was second to none. Always happy to get you anything. and it is dog friendly outside. I even saw them giving a dog a bowl of water.As there was 6 of us we had a variety of food and no one was disappointed. would highly recommend it.
