The Olivenbauer is a typical Bavarian restaurant in both the menu and the environment. Plates are well served and price is decent. Beer is delicious!!Service was also good, even though the place was full and staff was rushed.The only set back is that the menu is in German only, which is strange for such a touristic town. Waiters speak a little English, but not much...All in all it was a great experience.

We were At neuschwanstein and headed back for the train and thought to get a takeaway pizza for the journey. The pizza was ready in 20minutes and tasted pretty good. But the service / welcome we received in placing a âtakeaway orderâ was purely abysmal. Youâve probably read plenty reviews of bad service and unwelcoming staff anyway, but if you are simply looking for a decent pizza, you can still go here!

My family and I are vegans and spent three weeks traveling around Europe this past summer. We all agree that Olivenbauer was the best meal we had during our entire stay! We stopped in unexpectedly after touring Neuschwanstein and could not believe our luck. It is a beautiful restaurant with an extremely helpful staff. But the absolute gem was the food. We all ordered something different and we all loved our meals! I recommend Olivenbauer to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

The outside seating area is set on the road and doesn't look much. However looks can deceive and we dined on a well cooked pizza with plenty of topping. Service was friendly and a number of locals were using the place. Both food and drinks were reasonably priced. It was busy as a number of restaurants close on a Wednesday. Worth a visit.

If you have a chance to stop at this restaurant you will be in for a surprise - the outdoor setting is spectacular with a view over the Forggensee (lake) and the Alps in the distance. The food is more than generous and absolutely delicious. We ordered a seafood item on the menu which I shared with my spouse - even so we could barely finish all the samplings included. Our friends ordered lamb and they were very pleased too. This is not just a "pizza" place but an Italian restaurant with a more sophisticated menu - definitely worth a visit

We happened upon this GREAT restaurant in Fussen, Germany. We were SO HAPPY with everything. The food was EXCELLENT. The service superb! Our waitress was the best. A definite must eat here when in Fussen!! Thank you for taking care of the 9 of us so well.....

In the poring rain, we found Michelangelo who were able to seat the 7 of us - upstairs. We liked the pizzas (I had the Michelangelo) and the spaghetti. Soft drinks (400ml) go for â¬3.90. Overall good food and friendly staff, although it was a bit warm upstairs. We were also able to pay with a card.Thank you for your visite.Arrivederci e grazie

After visiting Neuschwanstein Castle we were passing through Steingaden in route to Munich. Stopped here for some pizza. And did it not disappoint! Their dough, top notch. I have yet to visit Italy but this seemed like the real deal. Itâs a family operated joint and the owner/chef comes from Italy. Totally caught us by surprise on how good his pies are and well priced, would highly recommend if looking for Italian fare.
