Cozy, beautiful, and so unbelievably relaxing
Reviewed By mlarosa10000This place lives up to all the reviews and more. I stayed for 4 days to unwind, get some escape time, and snowboard at Nevados de Chillan. It was absolutely gorgeous and Rosa Maria, the owner, was amazing every step of the way. She helped me rent snowboarding gear in town (which was less than half the cost of renting on the mountain as I was going to do) and she was incredibly helpful with my many questions about arriving. The rooms are cozy and warm, and feel very private even though it is actually close to a lot of restaurants and small stores. I would come back in a heartbeat and would bring friends. The layout is six small rooms around a central living room and kitchen, and seemed ideal for a bigger group, maybe who wanted to cook a bit. The breakfast was prepared early enough for the snow sports crowd, and there are several great restaurants within a short walk.

Reviewed By CaminantedelsurSpent an evening in Cobquecura at Ruka Anku. While the facilities were not something to write home about, the service and the restaurant were. Julia and Maria met us at the reception and made for a most enjoyable stay. Maria also makes a wonderful pisco sour. Won’t disappoint! The biggest surprise was the hotel’s restaurant! The appetizer—razors with cucumbers—was our first surprise. And the homemade bread and creamy butter…oh, my! One of our travel companions has dietary restrictions and for the evening meal she was offered a spaghetti-cut cuddle fish and creamed eggplant with squid ink that was most delicious. We also had the best best pulpo we ate in Chile—and we ate a lot of pulpo during the trip. Lisa fish, cauliflower and native potatoes were also quite good. The morning breakfast was our final lovely surprise.

Hostal Concepción located in the heart of the city of Concepción Chile, is a small but very cozy accommodation, all rooms have private bathrooms, with breakfast buffet, cable tv, wifi, private parking, near universities, civic center and locomotion for the different points of attraction in the area, beaches, parks, museums, etc.

Fantastic pizza
Reviewed By Adriaan LAfter a disappointing stay at the Hotel Alto Nevados, we had some lunch on our way down to Chillan. We ordered a pizza and it was just fantastic. My wife and I are both cow-milk intolerant and they made a pizza with goat cheese, pesto and tomatoes. Delicious and great service.

Good location. NOT a Hostel.
Reviewed By TheFatMansPassportI have stayed here twice in the space of 3 weeks. Although the location is fantastic. Close to city center, close to all amenities and attractions, there are some things that bring this B&B down. Despite the name, no, they are not a hostel. They have many rules and regulations in place that basically prohibit any hostel related activities. The breakfast buffet is actually just toast, juice, yogurt and instant coffee - but it is better than nothing! If you do make a booking, ensure to call and confirm the booking, one of mine was not correctly captured and there was a mad scramble to get me a room. The restaurant portion of the hotel is actually charming and the food is really good! The rooms are kept immaculately clean however, that is a very BIG positive in their favour.
