Reviewed By Michelle gI really loved staying at El Punto where the German hosts have created a very unique atmosphere. You hear and see the staff laughing and smiling all the time and it made me think that this must be an amazing place to work. Naturally such a positive vibe creates a really nice energy and positive atmosphere. The hostal is super cosy and clean and the food they serve at the cafe is really good (with vegetarian options). Breakfast was AMAZING!!!! They organise a ton of tours with an eco friendly agency. The only thing is that the mattress was not the best I have slept in, but it was ok. Overall a fantastic stay in a really cute and welcoming hostal.

Reviewed By gr_goirej353Rooms are really REALLY bad isolated, compared to other hostels. The owner doesn't want tourist to be exempted from VAT, then the room became not so cheap, especially regarding the quality. The garden is nice, you can grab some fruits. WiFi is mostly not working. Try to find a better deal in Vicuna!

Reviewed By Ofek OWe were there as a couple in a private room and stayed for 2 nights. The staff was very nice and welcoming, the breakfast was very rich and tasty, the room was comfortable and clean. The hostel also has a Jacuzzi and Sauna but we didn't have the time to try them

Solar Eclipse 2019 Trip

The location was wonderful, the hotel is a stones throw from the beach (which has a super active and lively boardwalk), and the property was very charming. I loved the private cabanas, they were equipped (at least in ours) with two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen (with all the things one needs), a dining / living room, and a porch. It felt very spacious. Given that it was July, it was very, very cold at night, and the one tiny fireplace didn't do much, so the property set us up with space heaters for the bedrooms -- that was a life saver! I very much enjoyed our stay!

Reviewed By Daniel CWe enjoyed our stay at Aji Verde. We were upgraded into a smaller empty dorm because we arrived late and tired which was very kind. The dorm was nice, comfy, cosy and clean. It had lockers and lots of plugs. Clean hot showers. The WiFi is quite good. Breakfast is above average. The kitchen is ok. There are lots of places to relax, the whole place has a relaxed vibe. It is well located about 5/10 minutes walk from everything you might need. Recommend.

Nature escape close to town
Reviewed By Slowtravel1We love places surrounded by nature, with big windows and ample outdoor space. Hostal El Arbol Beach fitted that bill beautifully. The outside breakfast area was very inviting and would be great in warmer weather, but it was a bit chilly and there were no objections when we asked if we could take breakfast on the tables inside the kitchen. Hostal El Arbol Beach is perfectly located between the beach and the major shopping centre, and even the bus terminal is still in walking distance if you don't carry too much luggage. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, which is great when you don't want to walk in the dark to a restaurant, none of which are that close. Unfortunately there are no registered bike hire places close buy either, but we soon found that they put up stalls along the beach road, at least they did on the public holiday when we walked towards Coquimbo. The hostal also has a luggage room in case you don't want to take everything to the Elqui Valley with you.

Charming Hostel in La Serena
Reviewed By Audrey RI absolutely loved this hostel. It is extremely close to the bus station, and a short walk to the historical centre. The walk to the beach is a bit longer but worth it! The rooms are very comfortable and well kept. The bathrooms are spotless. The breakfast is by far the best hostel breakfast I have had. There is table service and they serve fresh, warm bread with different types of eggs, ham and cheese. The staff are the best part. So friendly and welcoming. Also full of tips on what to do in La Serena. If you come to La Serena, stay here!

As soon as we got in Ms. Jovisa informed us that even if we got the booking reservation, they actually didn't have the real space for us. So actually, at 11 pm, me and my daughter didn't have where to go. In one of the most busy time of the year. They didn't take any responsibility about it. It was A nightmare. Extremely dangerous. 10.30pm, La serena. A llegar al hostal donde tenia una reserva, La sra. Jovisa me informo que aunque tuviera el booking de una pieza doble, no tenian real espacio disponible para mi y mi hija (menor de edad!). A las 11 pm en Serena, no teniamos donde dormir. Apsolutamente inaseptable y peligrosisimo. Una pesadilla...
