Charming, good value and comfortable
Reviewed By tofer75The hotel is very easy to reach by car. Also quite convenient from Matsuyama station with a five minute walk from the Dogo terminal of the classic streetcar. A five minute walk from the historic Dogo Onsen building and the Dogo neighbourhood. The hotel is a very well maintained and clean vintage of the 1960's (this is my guess). We had a Japanese style room, so a comfortable futon is arranged for you on the floor while you are out for dinner. Our room also had a small sitting area near the window. Not so spacious, but not cramped either. There is an indoor hotspring fed bath serving hotel guests. I slept like a log! The hotel appears to have some wedding business as well given the arrangement of the lobby. There is a gorgeous and well maintained garden on the south side of the building (surface parking is on the north side). The buffet breakfast is extensive with a good selection and quality. Overall this hotel is excellent value!

A great place to stay in Uchiko

A great place to stay in Uchiko, with 1 caution: stairs are unavoidable, with living room, bath and toilet downstairs (not shared), bedroom upstairs. Otherwise the accommodations are wonderful. 10-15 minute walk from Uchiko Eki, or 4 minute taxi ride. There are only two units, very similar. As 2 couples, it was convenient being in the same building, just us. Lots of room, modern but traditional Japanese ambience. Good location for Uchiko historical area. Check the website or call. Japanese may be required. The innkeeper is a good resource, like a concierge. Taxi can be hired for outings to the countryside. The DORF restaurant across the street is where breakfast is served. For dinner, we tried the German restaurant for a change from Japanese cuisine.

Reviewed By yoshikojapan交流センターと別名があるので、地元の方も温泉に来られるのでしょう。アットホームな宿。シングルルームに泊まりましたが窓からは鹿野川湖が見え迫る山々もありロケーションもgood。温泉はヌメリ感がありお肌がすべすべになります。露天風呂の寝湯でゆっくり出来ました。とにかくおすすめは夕食です！地場の物を生かしたメニューがコレでもかっ、って言う程沢山の種類を出してくれました。(スタンダードのプランで)川魚の塩焼き、兜煮、トンブリ..料理長の心こもった忘れられないお味です。高知から道後温泉までの長いドライブの途中に位置していたのでたまたま取ったお宿でしたが、この料金で温泉、食事等コスパは最高！縁もゆかりもない関東からの一人旅でしたが、ここに泊まって更に旅行が最高のものになりました。またいつか行きたいと思っています。おすすめです！

フロントの方二名が素晴らしい quiet and nice onsen ryokan
Reviewed By インターナショナル ベ駐車場があり、アクセスしやすく安い温泉宿を探していてたどり着きました。 コメントなどを読んでいたので全く期待していませんでしたが、お風呂も綺麗で露天もいい、部屋も清潔で便利、そしてとても静かです。 宿からは山や寺院が見えて素敵ですよ。 石手寺もとても近く、道後温泉も実は近いです。 車で5-10分で中心地まで行けるので何も不便さは感じませんでした。 むしろ静かに過ごせて嬉しかったです。 そして何よりフロントの若い男性と若い女性。 彼らの接客が素晴らしい。（他のフロントの方は普通の感じでした。） お名前を聞き忘れて残念でしたが、笑顔の可愛い細やかな接客の女性と いつも声をかけて気遣って下さり、役立つ観光情報もたくさん教えてくださった男性、 子供には浴衣を貸してくださり、有難かったです。 今度松山へ行く時もここのお宿に泊まります。 We definitely recommend this place to anyone . This Ryokan is not located in the city center but it is very quiet and have a free parking space. Even though this place is not in the center, Ishite-temple is quite close and Dogo spa is only 5-10min drive. It seems like there is a free shuttle from the ryokan. Outside rock bath was awesome. Japanese tatami room was neat and futon was comfortable. Above all, two young woman and man from the reception was so kind and helpful. They gave us lot of tips of traveling and ask if they need anything, we could borrow a yukata for child for free.
