3時ごろに入りました。かなり広いお店で座敷もテーブルも。お客さんは4.5人。既に入口にはくるみダレは本日終了の表示。上田で33度もある日に上田城散策をしたので、冷たい蕎麦を食べたくなり、季節限定の豚しゃぶ蕎麦を注文。全く普通に家庭で出来るような味でした。

インパクトのある六文銭かき揚げ天ざるそばを食べるために、立地が良くて客席数が少ないことを承知で１時頃に行きました。そこの駐車場はやはり満車で上田城の駐車場（３時間まで500円）に止めました。順番リストに記入してから１時間以上待って食べました。記入した人が不在の場合は次の客が入れますが、呼ばれた方が遅れて来たら優先的に入れてくれます。時々、不在の方を呼んでます。蕎麦がなくなって来たら、店員さんが並んでいる人を確認して、本日はここまでとして、本日終了の札を出します。３時ぐらいで終了でした。上田のそばは量が多く１人前が２人前近くあります。そして六文銭かき揚げはそばが隠れるほどのボリュームで、満腹でした。

Now here is a lovely, friendly place, and very Japanese, for a comfy dinner, especially if you want to fill your belly after sweating your sins away at the onsen (hot springs) right across the street. Have the katsu-don. Guaranteed to please.

訪問当日は旅館・中松屋に宿泊予約しており 朝 東京からの移動だったので 12時に中松屋迄送迎依頼をし ﾗﾝﾁとして訪れました。ﾗﾝﾁﾒﾆｭｰ（添付 写真参照）は種々あり 私が《鯖棒寿司ﾗﾝﾁ》、妻は《松風ﾗﾝﾁ、選択ﾒﾆｭｰとしては御造り（目鉢鮪、真鯛、初鰹）と信州牛ﾋﾞｰﾌｼﾁｭｰ》を選択しました（添付 写真参照）。一般的な食事処ではﾒﾆｭｰから注文すると ﾒﾆｭｰの品物が出てくるまで時間があるので 口が寂しくなりますが こちらでは ｻｰﾋﾞｽで玉子焼きと漬物（添付 写真参照）が出て来ますので 口が寂しくなりません。又 御飯は3種の米から一つを選び、 注文してから炊き上げるので 食事時間にある程度の余裕が無い方には こちらの良さを楽しむことが出来ないかも知れません。 私が注文した《鯖棒寿司》も 京都などで何回も食べましたが 京風とは異なる美味しさを持った一品でした。 妻が注文した《信州牛ﾋﾞｰﾌｼﾁｭｰ》も 和風の食器に 信州の野菜も使用、隠し味に八丁味噌と 流石に和風食事処に相応しい一品となっていました。 ﾃﾞｻﾞｰﾄに出てきた《牛乳ﾌﾟﾘﾝのｶﾘﾝ・ｿｰｽかけ（添付 写真参照）》は 絶品で 別所温泉のお土産として持ち帰り、友人・知人に紹介したくなる美味しさを持った一品です。 ｽﾀｯﾌ皆さんの対応も 感じが良く、入店してから 帰る迄 非常に楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来 別所温泉で来る機会あれば 何度でも訪れたくなる食事処です。

Excellent Fried Pork Cutlet. I have eaten here many times over the years. Very close to the Ueda Train Station. A good break from Sushi and Fish after a few days in Japan. It's a nice local place. Have a couple of beers and enjoy!

Great place for a nightcap right at the train station. Lot's of great menu choices. There is a limited table seats but lots of seats in the tatami floor area. There is also a counter for sitting.

In terms of location it's the best for sure as it's so close to the train station. In terms of food quality, yes that's tasty but not something surprising. I'd say there were better choices elsewhere but it's still worth to try.

It's a small, old and always crowded Soba Restaurant in Ueda, It's located near Ueda Station. Suggestion for order Tenzaru Soba.

These guys grow they're own buck wheat and make the noodles in house. Large portions always crowded and for good reason. They don't have an English menu that I know of but a simple point and guess will get you the sustenance that you need. It's a perfect spot to fill up before hitting the onsens nearby.
