If you want to try some local only dishes, its all there. Kind staff can also give you some advice on what to try what to have it before you leave Amami. We tried Goat soup, and Chicken rice some other seafood dishes. Plenty of food, we were happy at the end for all these very first time tried local dishes!

We ordered the local menu and get keihan und torisashi. First, torisashi is chicken sashimi! Yes, raw chicken. It was really unusual for us but we ate half of it. The keihan was good and the service was really friendly. Up to now they could not speak english. Feel free to try this location!

The food at this restaurant is amazing! Tofu and soy in many different versions! If you are vegetarian I recommend the tofu croquette, because it's a feast! Also it might be a good idea to share the dish you get, because it's so big! As a starter you can serve yourself with homemade plain tofu, soymilk and miki (Amami style rice drink/pudding). It is ALL sooo good!!!!
