The city is named after its founder Pedro de Valdivia and is located at the confluence of the Calle-Calle, Valdivia, and Cau-Cau Rivers, approximately 15 km (9 mi) east of the coastal towns of Corral and Niebla. Since October 2007, Valdivia has been the capital of Los Ríos Region and is also the capital of Valdivia Province. The national census of 2002 recorded the commune of Valdivia as having 140,559 inhabitants (Valdivianos), of whom 127,750 were living in the city. The main economic activities of Valdivia include tourism, wood pulp manufacturing, forestry, metallurgy, and beer production. The city is also the home of the Austral University of Chile, founded in 1954 and the Centro de Estudios Científicos.

Te recomiendo este lugar para comer exquisitas pastas, cuentan además con sandwiches, pizzas en su carta. El servicio es gentil, pero si vas con poco tiempo... te sugiero que pases en otra oportunidad pues la cocina no es rápida si pides algo que no sea el menú del dÃa.Buen sabor las comidas y en porciones adecuadas para salir con buen animo del local.

The location of Nonna Pizzeria is on the entertainment district of Valdivia. We have no plan of having pizza that night, but after being refused to a Tenidor Libre restaurant for not having a reservation we're kind of hopeless looking something to eat as it was almost 9 pm and we're hungryWe just walk around and came to a very live street we saw overall outside on the board 'happy hour' after walking from one bar to the next one it suddenly appear to our mind that we are in the nightlife area of the city. And the pizzeria is just happen to be in the neighborhood. We went inside the restaurant and look for a table it was busy but we found a table by the windowWe got help so fast by one of personeel, they have lot selections of pizza is only in Spanish, if you can't understand the language that would be not easyAfter 5 minutes he came back to take our order. I choose (Al Caponne) and Didier a (Diabolo) The guy was surprise when we order two pizza while he said the serving is huge, I have no idea how big the servings are. But we ordered two pizza with two different tasteI guess we would have enough with one pizza, but it's too late our order has been passed to the chief cook We waited for a bit longer, it was very busy. It takes about 15-20minute before our pizza cameThe pizza is not to compare to a real Italian pizza, but is not so bad either.My Al Caponne pizza is thin chessy crust with chicken and cheese. While the Diabolo is full with onions. We have so much left over, the guy suggest if we want to take home, but we have nothing to warmed up.For a total of 22.000 peso with drinks and two huge pizzas it was more than enough. The service is a bit slow but is typical in Chile. They have free wifi inside if you ask their password

I go for the coffee. My son swims and plays tennis at a nearby club and when he's done we come here. Me - for the coffee and he comes for the pepperoni pizza. I've seen the other pizzas and the marguerita would be one I would pick as the 'alpahaca' is fresh. I haven't tried them although I've been tempted. I wouldn't go for the sweets as they seem to be not loca but arrive in cellophane containers. But I would recommend, highly recommend the coffee. They have a great espresso machine. It fizzes and foams and works its magic on coffee the way I like to drink it.

La masa de la pizza no es muy sabrosa y tiende a parecer que esta un poco cruda.Somos amantes de la pizza con mi pareja y esta vez quedamos con un gusto muy poco llamativo para el paladar

Es un bonito local, con una excelente atención. La comida tambien buena. Probamos sus distintos gnoquis, buenos pero nada espectacular. Para llamarlos camarón ostión debe llevar ostiones, no trocitos de ostión. Ojo con los detalles. Los precios, un poquito altos.

Ordered take out for 4. One pizza is enough (we bought 2). The pizza was homemade, including the dough. However, it needed a bit more salt pepper and tomatoes/ tomato sauce. There was no soda in the store, only beer. Maybe a little overpriced for the quality, although it does have potential.

Service was wuite good,but there was quite few people there when we got there.My son had pizza and was ok with that, my wife had raviolis with bologones sause, she said the raviolis was not good at all, but the sause was good. I had a lasagne, quite tasteless, lots og pasta, almost no meat! I found beef in it!!!If you like Italian food, do not go to this place to eat!

We came in here as the waiter told us it was the same restaurant. My seafood was delicious. My kids also had pasta which they enjoyed. It was expensive but also good.

Probably the best restaurant in Valdivia. Beautiful decor, friendly professional service and extensive menu Italian style. I started with the onion soup which was absolutely delicious . I had the grilled lamb chops with roast potatoes in rosemary for main course followed by tarta tatin for desert .. excellent ! The service was prompt and attentive and the friendly manager came to chat at the end of the meal. Highly recommend for couples , families or small groups of friends . Prices are keen for the quality of food , surroundings and service .
