My husband and i visited recently. We arrived around 5pm as u cannot book a table for 2 people. We were seated straight away. service was good. they were quiet at that time as it wasnt long opened. It started to pick up from about 5.45pm so be prepared to wait if u turn up after 6pm especially at the weekend. Menu had a nice selection. Food was delicious, well presented and tasty. This is a typical Supermac's location but is in need of a complete refurbishment. The place looks dirty as the furniture and fittings are grubby and bring the tone of the place to a very low standard. Everything about this place needs a lift from the building to the staff. I would not hurry back.Hi, We are sorry to read of your experience. Came across this little Gem of a restaurant quite by accident. On a business trip to Tuam we asked about any nearby restaurants and we're guided to Amarillo Stores with high recommendations. The staff, from the forecourt to the restaurant, were so welcoming it was immediately very relaxing and enjoyable. It was obvious from the outset that both business and trades people frequented here regularly as they were well known to the staff. A good indicator always when you have repeat customers. The menu was quite broad from starters to desert. Freshly cooked and very tasty at an attractive price. Comfortable atmosphere and very clean - which is always an observation I need to decide on. Tanya, the manager and her assistant were so accommodating to us as strangers it endeared us to Amarillo Stores Restaurant. Next time in the area we will be sure to dine there. Highly recommended.

Went for breakfast with my family. Two breakfasts were vegetarian. Wasn't nice at all. Tea was weak and tasted terrible. Ordered a smoothy with one meal. Don t know what they used to make it but tasted like vomit. This was replaced with a small bottle of orange juice which was out of date. Would not recommend to anyone

The food here is very good, excellent menu and a good choice for all dietary requirements. It is however very overpriced for what you get. It is priced as fine-dining but the restaurant experience is not fine dining. The service was rushed and not very friendly; customer service is everything and is something they need to work on in this restaurant.

Excellent, high quality, locally sourced food. The area has great produce and this restaurant, unlike most others in the area, really showcases this. I had the goats cheese and beetroot starter, cod and cauliflower for main course with a side of sweet cabbage and dukkah. All were excellent. Prices are reasonable for this quality of food. I will definitely be back. Such a relief to find a restaurant serving healthy, good quality food in this area instead of the usual offering of deep fried pub food.

Gather Restaurant

Booked Gather with my partner as she recommended to me. From the moment we booked the table, to be greeted at the door and escorted to our table, the experience was wonderful.Ordered a lovely bottle of wine and we receive the most gorgeous complimentary home made bread....it was delicious.I ordered their Páte and my partner ordered "proper" Seafood Chowder, both starters were outstanding, worth the visit alone.I order Lamb Shank and my Partner ordered Hake, again, the presentation, taste, quality was superb, the vegatables were cooked to perfection. After seeing the desserts that arrived at the table next to us, we decided to take the plunge, best idea ever!! Both desserts left us wanting to come back again. We were not rushed, and left alone to chat and sip the last few drops of wine!!I highly recommend Gather, and will be booking it again very soon. It is a bit pricy but it is worth every penny if your budget allows.
